Puzzle Agent Trouble

Just downloaded Puzzle Agent 1 to Vista. The mouse pointer moves but it is not in sync with my mouse...too slow & jerky...it's no fun trying to solve a puzzle. Also, there's no instructions on how to exit out of the game...I tried hitting Esc or using the space bar...I finally had to use control/alt/delete. Any advise out there? Thanks!

    I believe (I had to check an old thread to jog my memory) that you can only exit the game (and access the main menu) after you've completed the first few puzzles and arrived at the hotel.
    At that time, pressing ESC or clicking on the file folder in the top-left corner of the screen will take you back to the main menu.
    As for the mouse pointer slowness and jerkiness, maybe lowering the resolution (from the main menu, click on "Settings", then "Graphics settings") would help.
