How did they clone a Mosasaur ?

Was there any clue how did they manage to clone the Mosasaur ? I remember even the characters in the game wondered about that , saying the there weren't any amphibius mosquitos . I can't recall if there were any Mosasaurs in the book , so did anyone understand how did they clone that animal ?

    Yes, they didn't explain that (or I missed it), and it seemed weird that they should point out how they couldn't possibly do it and then show us the beast cloned right after...

    Also, Sorkin's death was hilarious

    I need to play that episode again cause I think they did give a very brief explantion of how they were cloned and it had something to do with underwater fossiles.
