Give people some time. It's early afternoon on the west coast :P Most people come around in the evening. I'm interested in the top 2 for sure. As for other future releases, my finger isn't exactly on the pulse. I generally hear about these games from friends and fellow gamers or from reviews post release.

    1) Double Fine's new Adventure game.

    ... That is all.
    Dream List

    * Ron Gilbert's Monkey Island 3b - It's such a shame that we were so close to actually getting this until Darrell Rodriguez left Lucasarts. The gears were being put in motion and then the plug was pulled.

    * Gabriel Knight 4 - I doubt this will ever happen but after the cliffhanger ending of the third game, I'd love to see the story resolved. Having Jane Jensen as project leader would be essential though.

    * Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition (HD and with real instrumental soundtrack) - Again, this was likely to happen had Darrell Rodriguez remained at Lucasarts. He had already talked of his intention to remake Maniac Mansion and I can only imagine the a special edition of the sequel would have been a natural progression.

I can visualize starting the DOTT: SE up and being confronted by the gorgeous (yet faithful) graphics. Then... the title sequence (with the car)... the theme music being played with an orchestra. *drool*

    * Maniac Mansion 3 - I'm undecided whether I'd rather they re-imagine Maniac Mansion ala DOTT, or if I'd prefer a straight up sequel to DOTT with the return of Bernard, Hoggie and Laverne. Either way, I'd be sure to lap it up. Oh and Tim Schafer would have to be involved. Preferably with Dave Grossman as well.

    * The Longest Journey 3 - So that we can finally find out what happened at the end of Dreamfall. Also, a return to the more puzzle centric gameplay of the original would be greatly appreciated.

    * Shenmue III - Well, it's kind of an adventure game. Besides what kind of dream game list would be complete without it!

There was so much promise after the Lucasarts started working with Telltale games and got us a new Monkey Island game. Personally I was hoping that we would see Maniac Manson 3 by Telltale games. I was so sure it was going to happen... and then... nothing. Lucasarts went back to being lame and stale.

Also, is it weird that I wanted to see Maniac Mansion Special Edition with Day of the Tentacle graphics? I know it's a darker game but it would be really interesting.

I was actually thinking about this the other day and I agree. I think it would help bring a little more continuity to the series. Obviously it's a subjective opinion but it's what I'd like to see. I certainly wouldn't like them to keep the tentacle design true to the original because the tentacles in Maniac Mansion (with their four suckers, not counting the base one) are nowhere near as iconic as the redesign seen in DOTT.

Also Presidentmax, it's best to use the edit button if your posting a response close to previously posting, as opposed to double posting. Just a friendly reminder. :)

Had a look and I'm liking the look, you quite far away from finishing it?

I'd say Layton vs AA, but it feels to far away to be excited about yet. What I am waiting for very much is the PC version of Stacking.

Yeah sorry about that, haven't been on the forums for a while. A little rusty. :D

By the way, no chance you've heard about this fan game sequel to Maniac Mansion?

I quite don't get why some people, adventure gamers, think that the King's Quest serie had great stories. Those i gave a try all sucked, especially if you had read some great SF&F books before. Maybe thinking this way puts you into the waiting room for hell. But hey who wants to end on a boring neutron star when he could surf on a jet stream straight into a quasar?!

Wow, that's... that's EXACTLY how I imaged a HD version of DOTT looking! I will check that one out for sure. Although, just looking at the screenshots; it makes me all the sadder that we never got a DOTT: SE. :(

Artist is doing the background colorization. Script has been written. Once the backgrounds are colorized we run em in the game engine, input the script and see if we can manage some voice acting. We're pushing hard for 2012.
