What telltale games run on Intel's HD 3000 Graphics

edited March 2012 in General Chat
I'd like to buy the Jurassic Park and Back To The Future games. However, my system does not have a graphics card. I'm using the Sandy Bridge Intel i3 2105 with the internal HD 3000 graphics and 8 gb ram. Would the games run fine or has anybody encountered problems with that graphics solution?

It'll probably run alright, if you put it on the medium to lower end of the graphics settings.

If you have a desktop you can get a cheapo graphics card that will do better for $30-40 though.

That should be fine for medium graphics. My laptop is very similar.

you can play Episode 1 of BTTF for free. Use it to test the performance of the game on your system.

    Edit: does this still work?

I have heard of that offer but it doesn't seem to work anymore because the links all redirect me to the shop, where you can buy the first episode for 8.99$

And yes I have a desktop computer but when I bought it three months ago most people suggested me not to buy a cheap graphics card because the HD 3000 graphics would be as good. The problem is that the drivers are horrible and some games don't work although theoretically they should, that's why I ask. I first want to play all games that run on the system, because I usually only play adventure games that don't need high end graphics cards and later buy a better one. The irony is that very often those 3D shooters and action games work a lot better than adventures because intel has optimized the drivers for popular games like starcraft, which I don't really like.

Whoever told you that was lying, but it should still be enough to run most modern games at low settings.

Try this. It scans your computer and tells you whether it meets the minimum specs. Of course, it helps if your computer can actually run the test, unlike mine. ¬_¬

System Requiremts Lab doesn't help at all. It of course says that my system doesn't match the requirements because it does not have a graphics card, which according to the system requirements is required. However, in the detailed discription it of course also shows that the Intel HD 3000 matches all the requirements. The question is whether the games run or refuse to run because they don't detect a graphics card with dedicated ram.

Downloaded the first episode and it works perfectly. Low as well as high graphics settings. However, there is one problem. I'm in Germany right now and the episode is in German and there seems to be no way to change the language settings. It's not playable for me that way. When installing the game there is no option to choose different languages and the localized folder doesn't even have English language files. Any idea how to change that?

This thread should help with your language issue.

thx a lot. That solved the problem. Game looks great. The Intel 3000 HD graphics are absolutely sufficient. Runs perfectly fine on the highest settings. Full HD is a bit slow but 720p looks the same and runs absolutely smoothly.
