Poker Night at the Inventory Crashes after TTG Logo
Hi,
I need help, I'm looking for a fix for:
My Poker Night at the Inventory crashes after the Telltale Games Logo.
I use Windows 7 64-bit and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 x 2 video cards and AuzenTech Prelude 7.1 soundcard.
I also have 3 Hard Drives, 2 are in RAID 0, 1 is a TB drive. I have Steam and my games on the RAID 0 drives[D:]. I then have my OS on my TB drive[C:] which is also partitioned into C: the OS and E: a storage drive.
Maybe that's why I don't have a Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night at the Inventory folder.
It use to run perfect on Windows Vista 64-bit, I had Steam and my OS run from my RAID drive[C:], no partition it only stopped working since I installed Windows 7 with my new drive setup. Perhaps it's a directory problem? Doubtful though.
I've tried multiple fixes, nothing has worked so far.
I've tried:
Running the game in Admin mode.
Running the game from the CelebrityPoker.exe
Running the game in Compatibility mode.
Disabling all start up services.
Changing(lowering) sound quality.
Running game in windowed mode.
Putting -w 1024 -h 768 -refresh 60 in the launch options.
Verified game integrity and defragmented.
Re-installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 and SP1.
Re-installed DirectX.
Unplugged my headset.
Deleted all traces of the game and re-installed.
Deleting my ClientRegistry.blob.
Disabled Steam Community In-Game Overlay.gui
I am currently using NVIDIA drivers 290.53 because I play Skyrim and they seem to work the best. There is no AA or AF options for Poker Night in my NVIDIA Control Panel as it does not recognize any of the games I have under Manage 3D Settings.
I don't have a folder index/common/shank so I can delete the file “srcds_run” and then re-validate the integrity of game cache.
I don't have a folder Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night at the Inventory to try deleting the file named “prefs.prop”.
If I run the game in Compatibility mode is won't even load the TTG Logo, it says the game has closed. Same if I try to use 256 Colors. When I launch the game regularly it changes my theme to Windows Basic. I've tried changing my screen resolution.
I'm rather annoyed, I've played it and it's worked on this machine. I installed Windows 7, installed Poker Night and now I can't play my game because it crashes after the TTG Logo. It seems this is a very popular problem, a million things to try to fix it, yet nothing works. Can Telltale please get a fix that works posted please.
Help please?

It might also help if you post your dxdiag info.
dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.
Open the file and press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents, and paste them in a reply by pressing CTRL-V.
Sometimes the Forums spam filter catches long posts like this. Don't worry, we can still see them and make them visible.
My dxdiag said No Problems on each page. Here it is:

I also have poker night on steam on drive D, and it works.
It does create a "...\Documents\Telltale Games\Poker Night at the Inventory" folder though, so there's something strange happening on your system.
You could try creating another fresh windows user account, and see if running the game from there changes anything.
