Scooby-Doo Mystery

I'll let the video speak for itself. I had no idea this existed! Anyone else?

I remember reading about it on the ScummVM forum a few years ago. I've been meaning to try it since, but never got around to tracking down a copy.

I own it. It's pretty cool. I like it.

I didn't know about this either. Somehow a Scooby Doo adventure game just makes sense. In fact it makes more sense then that PS2 game I have (Scooby Doo: Mystery Mayhem).

I played a ROM of this briefly a few years back. I didn't play enough to make a call on whether I liked it or not but I've heard nothing but praise from those who've completed it. Apparently it's a bit of an underrated classic.
  • Telltale should try to get the rights. Have individual mysteries, all forming one main mystery

That sounds good. It would be sort of like the new cartoon, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.

Actually, I got the example from Mystery Mayhem, but Mystery Incorporated is also a very good example.

Bring on season 2! It can't end the way it did!

But the new mysteries must be in 2D! You hear this? I see that 3D did wonders to Sam & Max, but most 3D Scooby games look pretty ugly to me.

What if they go with a cel-shaded style like they did with SBCG4AP? But yeah, the style of the shows works better in 2D.

I had several Scooby Doo point and click adventures on the pc when I was little which were made by the The Learning Company , so the one on the Genesis/Megadrive isn't the only one out there. They weren't too bad if I recall, of course I probably played them when I was five or six so whether or not they would actually be enjoyable to someone outside the elementary school age group is debatable. I believe I actually still have them maybe I'll go back and revisit them if I get the chance and if their compatible with a modern version of Windows or if they work in Dosbox.
  • Just going to throw this out: If Telltale DID do a Scooby-Doo game, would you want to play as Scooby or Shaggy?
  • edited April 2012
    Both at once.
  • I would do a bit of both, like play as Shaggy for a few levels, then swap to Scooby, then back to Shaggy, and so on and so forth.

    Why.

If Telltale made a Scooby Doo game, then there would have to be a minigame where you play as Velma when she loses her glasses for like the 20 billionth time! XD

"I've got a question, why does nobody ever want to play as me?"

I'd play a Scooby, Red Shirt Shaggy, Scooby Dumb, and Scrappy game.
  • Scrappy: Lemme at 'em, Lemme at 'em!
Me: Shut the f**k up, you annoying midget.
