I watch as many LP's of the game as there are available. I don't care if they all make the exact same choices every single time, I enjoy seeing how every individual reacts to what happens. Whether they're, sad, happy, angry, etc. everyone is different, so every LP is different to me.
That's one way to kill shitloads of time. I have not yet reached that level of boredom to fully understand why would this still amuse you, but if it's fun for you then it's fun for you, I guess.

People are different, some people won't watch my LP, some people will. It's just the matter of who. I understand you are bored of Walking Dead LP's but it doesn't mean other people aren't, some people are, some people aren't it's just how it goes mate.

I'm not saying i spend every waking moment watching them(it's been several months since the final episode anyway), but there's no reason not to enjoy something just because a lot of it already exists.

But there is a reason to actually discover something new, enjoy something new and create something new.

And if you're not adding a twist of sorts, then you're just bathing in soapy water.

The person performing the LP is the only thing that needs to be new, in my case. I suppose it's down to individual taste. It takes a lot of repetition for me to not enjoy a product, and for others even the slightest form of it completely shuts them down.

A blessing or a curse, either way I'm having fun... and that's all that matters.

Not if you could be having more fun! Why spend your time supporting stagnation? I'm sure it may be sorts of fun, but I'm also sure that there are way betters ways of having fun without recycling.

I can only see 2 decent reasons for LP's:

    1. Console games if you don't have a console. I was very curious about Heavy Rain, because anything supposedly story-oriented gets me excited, but I don't have a PS3 or whatever console it was released on, so I experienced the whole game through some guys LP.

    2. Tiredness. When you're tired as shit, you don't feel like doing anything, no mood to play a game, no mood to lift a book up, not in a mood to even watch a movie. So you turn on a LP and see some other fella do the work for you while you just vegetate in your seat, because that's just sometimes how people feel. And that's alright.

The less of actual gameplay a game has, the less reason there is to make a Let's Play for it, rather than just discussing it with your friends and fellow gamers who have played it.

And yes yes, individual taste, but it's also real easy to mix up individual taste with sticking to your comfort zone for a small dose enjoyment, but just enough to keep you invested. And that's what I always suspect when people advocate Let's Plays for games that have no reason to have Let's Plays, because it would be so much more simple and efficient to just have a discussion about it. Especially when most of the LPers are just spewing out crap for the sake of making a buck out of millions of boneheads constantly dropping their time into the view count and making them rich from advertisements by supporting their subpar trash heaps that never stop being uploaded for more muneymuney. And most of the LPers who don't do that yet because of lack of popularity, are dead set on reaching that level shitspewage. (and I'm not specifically addressing you as LP lover, Mornai. And I'm not specifically addressing you as a LP maker, Broker. There are some decent Let's Players that put thought into what they're doing and are worth actually watching and I haven't seen your stuff yet, Broker so I can't really comment on you. But most of the scene is populated by bland forced nonsense like that pewdiepie fellow and supporting it instead of the VERY few actually decent members of it is crazy)

TL;DR practically all of the Let's Play are lazy and more "business"-friendly versions of well thought out impressions videos.

And I may be wrong about this and about you, but what rubs me the wrong way the most, is the continued support of mostly lazy and greedy people, be it inadvertently or otherwise. And once again, not talking about all of them. Always exceptions to the rule and that kinda shit, you know.
