Graphical Glitch/ Error

Hi, I purchased The Walking Dead game from Steam today and have immediately been faced with a problem, I was wondering if anyone had a solution to it.
When I start the game up, there are parts blacked out and my cursor is a black square, when I go into the actual game, the road that should be visible is all black.
If any of you have any advice/help that would be really appreciated thank you!

    check your graphic cards is better than the minimum settings

    then check your drivers

    then maybe check you game install via steam verify
