Where did you buy it from? If you bought it from? If you bought it from steam it should already be there. If you bought it from Telltale then its in your "My games section"(The little joystick in the top right) and is downloaded there and doesn't need steam.
If you did buy it from telltale, then it isn't a steam copy but can be registered as a nonsteam game somehow.

Open your Steam Library.
Click "ADD A GAME..."
Click "Add a Non-Steam Game."
Find the game you want to add and selected. (sumofull displayed here.)
If you need to, hit browse and navagate to the .exe of the program. (Minecraft displayed here. NOTE: Because Minecraft is coded in Java, you'll want to find the .jar file if you want to add it to your Steam games.)
Hit "ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS" and the selected games will appear in you library.
