Does anyone else like Merlin, the 1998 miniseries which was turned into a full length film, starring Sam Neil as Merlin?

    Yes.

    I liked it. Haven't watched it since it was new, though. Has it held up well?

    I watched it a few years ago, and I still liked it. :) The special effects aren't as awe-inspiring now as they were then, but for a TV show budget in the 1990's it holds up surprisingly well.

    There's also another miniseries that was produced by the same company (Hallmark) and also has Sam Neill as Merlin and Miranda Richardson as The Lady of the Lake. It's called Merlin's Apprentice, but I can't comment on it as I haven't seen that one yet.

    I love that series/film! It's strange that you mention it because I was only just thinking about it the other day (despite not having watched it for a couple of years).

    It's so sad when Merlin's love interest is sealed off within the enchanted forest for decades! :( *sniff*

    I loved this as a kid but I have no idea how it fares now. I only watched it for Sam Neil and Martin Short.

    Trust me, it holds up very well.
