It seems that the zombie apocalypse is no longer only a fantasy, it might have begun for real...

    although the local police apparently assured people it was a simple case of cocaine psycosis, though when cocaine started making bullets 'mildly annoying' i will never know. God damn i love you yanks.

    Would have started, but that policeman ruined the whole thing by shooting infected person nummer 1 in the head.

    You know that policeman saved the world.

    Lol I hope it happens for real but unfortunately it's scientifically impossible :/ plus if you read it till the end, you would notice he was under drug impacts.

    You hope it happens for real?!? Are you insane? Keep in mind, in every zombie book, movie whatever, most, that is NEARLY ALL people end up zombie chow. Skill, ability, most preparation does not matter even a little. Just the luck of the draw as to who makes it and who doesn't. What makes you think you'ld be one of the lucky few?

    The bottom of this article has an interesting theory:

    Recent research suggests people copy fictitious characters in real life. Researchers call this phenomenon “experience taking” when people assume the feelings, beliefs and internal responses of the character they are associating with. Being under the influence of any narcotic, a person may be more apt to ‘act out’ or possibly believe they have morphed into the fictitious character they are interested in.

    The popularity of zombies in recent years may encourage more individuals in a psychotic state to believe they are zombies, which may be the reality of drugs.

    lets hope the anti violence in games brigade doesn't get more funding to stop zombie games being made...

    A Hobo was face eaten by a naked black cocaine/bathsalt/zombie man who growled at the officer. If you don't make zombie jokes your in the wrong place

    why should anyone have respect for a hobo and a drug user ? two of the lowest forms of life before a zombie..i respect those who deserve it and these two types DO NOT. regardless of circumstances...

    It could be possible, though. Consider a virus that spreads into dead bodies with relatively undamaged major organs, settling down in the brains to enhance tissue and blood cell regeneration and control the muscles, turning a corpse into a braindead but moving human body with very primitive instincts, causing it to attack anything that moves and eat following the stench of blood.

    I would hope that would happen for real as well, since if it did it would take a long time to spread here anyway... nothing like that ever happens in Finland.

    That's Bs, there are alot of homeless people that deserve respect and just as many that don't but not "regardless of circumstance" if you were homeless all of a sudden because of a arsonist or something else i guess i shouldn't show you any respect

    @Kappo Mate, without the brain working and your soul not being in your body. Your body will just begin to decompose lol..It could be alright if people were alive, but the virus makes them crazy and increases their adrenaline amount in body..but if they don't eat human food ( which is the original thing) they immediately die..so that real zombies won't bother eating humans..They will eat our food instead ftw

    firstly our souls are made to control our bodies, secondly any virus, whatever the powers it has, it can never control any creature's body. As I said the body would just begin to be shit and decompose..After human death the organs will just serve it's period and then the organs will turn into a shitty things.     The drug is called Meow. It's really the chemical Mephedrone. It is used in bath salts and plant food. People grind it up and snort it, shoot it, etc. One of the side effects is increased body temperature, hence the man being naked. Another is, obviously, delusions and erratic behavior. Another can be extreme hunger, hence the eating of the face.

    No one said the zombie apocalypse had to be exactly like NOTLD or TWD.

    Now, if someone will combine Meow with Krokodil - (from Russia, rots the flesh, look it up if you dare) - and BINGO!!! We all get to be in a nasty video game/movie/Web Head's wet dream!

    A zombie outbreak is not at all "scientifically impossible". It is true that there are no (publicly known) evidence that a zombie outbreak could happen but that does not mean it never could happen. Remember that absence of evidence is not the same thing as evidence of absence. I guess that you are are referring to the following sentence in the article: "Police theorize the attacker might have been suffering from "cocaine psychosis."

    Note the word "theorize", that means the police are not sure, they are only speculating.

    I don't know exactly who in this thread you're addressing but I am not showing any disrespect, I am just passing the news on to make people aware that a zombie outbreak might have started. I don't have any other facts than those that have been in news articles (the one I linked to and other articles out there) and I don't know if a real zombie outbreak is even possible but I feel that it is good to try to be prepared for anything.

    Some people believe that a zombie outbreak is nothing but a fantasy, other believe that it is not a question about if it will happen, only a question about when. I myself is somewhere in between, it seems unlikely that anything like a zombie outbreak could ever happen but I still keep my eyes open and I want to be prepared just in case my assumptions are wrong.

    This story seems like it could really be the beginning of an outbreak that authorities try to cover up but it could also have a perfectly ordinary explanation. I feel really sorry for both of the persons involved, both the man shot to death by the police officer and the man whose face was eaten (and who is still alive and might spread a zombie infection (if anything like that exists) to someone else, like the hospital personnel for instance).
