"Some decisions now don’t have a timer because the weight they carry will affect the game in the long run"
Does that mean when we need to choose some people to save (it affects the game in long run), we get an unlimited time amount to choose..
Ohh man..
I don't think I'll like it that way..

It'd be nice if they put an option into the game to have a time limit on these choices.
I'd prefer to stress over my difficult decisions and perhaps make the wrong one by mistake.
thing is in a ' real life ' zombie out break you WOULDN'T have 'enough time' to decide..
the timing moments are to make you panic and react quickly as you would have to because a zombie isn't going to stop till you make it stop.. so i say more timed choices are a good thing..if there's no threats then no timer is needed..
other wise the game suffers from not making the actions matter if you can always choose the soft option... like with the arguments we see, people aren't going to WAIT for an answer again goes back to realism..

(realism for an zombie outbreak)
seriously...
Actually, in a real life zombie outbreak i would know myself very well and have alot more than 4 options at any given time.
I try to play the game as if it was a real life zombie outbreak, and do what i would have done in that given situation. Atleast in my first playtrough.
But i would like to have time to read my 4 options before choosing one.
Thanks. I actually screwed up on a couple of things on my first play-through because of the intensity. With the minimal UI I failed to save Clementine from the bathroom walker and failed on the farm. Granted, so far these choices only change one or two lines of dialogue from NPCs but hopefully soon enough they will have broader consequences. In my play-through Lee is now a flawed man, not a zombie killing machine. I froze trying to save Clementine and everyone knows it. (Mostly because the clickable objects are in odd places but I enjoy this design decision.) Perhaps I'm not the best choice for leading the group but I'll be damned sure to try my hardest.
i always want to choose my decisions wisely so i just hit the xbox menu button and it pauses the game giving me a chance to consider my decisions especially in the What do i shout at the cop right before i crash
I havent watched any previews for episode 2 besides the end of Episode 1. I actually screwed up this time and took too long to answer queen clem and she asked if the monsters got me but it didn't say she'd remember it. so i think im ok

I could have swore i paused the game.... oh well thats why you don't take your tylenol pm before playing the walking dead. plus it gives you weird ass dreams
Since it seems that they are skipping June of 2012, then it is logical to assume that they may pick June 4000000000 as that is possibly the latest date for June to exist, after which, then the claim for a june release date would have been a lie.
With the timer not being in some decisions I'll give an example. Warning Spoiler Alert for first few min. of game
You have 4 pieces of food for the day and 9 people to give it to. You have to choose who gets food and doesn't that day. Even when you get to the last piece it gives you time to think about if you should eat it yourself or give it to some one. This suppose to affect the rest of the episode in a big way.
But let me reasure you one of the quick response segments keeps decision making fun and quick. These guys are headed in the right direction.

This makes sense though because there is nothing stressful happening here that would enforce a time limit. As long as they keep plenty of tense fast-paced stressful situations where you have to quickly decide what happens I'm happy.

deciding which 4 get food out of 9 ?
i'd say that is stressfull..
and razor can never be mad as me muhahahahahah (puts left hand's little finger to side of mouth with rasied eyebrow)
It is but the game mechanics make it less stressful by giving you an unlimited amount of time to decide, at least this is my understanding. I'm fine with it though because there are no ravenous bandits or walker hordes to contend with at that moment in time.
You could spend days alone on this decision if you wished to ponder who you'd like to keep alive.

If someone asked you a question like say 'marry me' would you leave them hanging ?
some conversations need a timer , i'm sure if you really needed a break you can press esc on the pc version to pause the game.
but i feel for the first playthrough, you shouldn't be over thinking everything, the game is going to get you either way so make a choice and live with it. then if you really don't like it restart the chapter...or wait till your next playthrough..
i reckon we need more than 3 save slots for the pc version and i dunno where the save file is for steam lol

I agree that conversations need a timer, honestly I say the more the merrier.
The PC saves are saved on the steam cloud I think. I don't know if they can be accessed or not.
Edit: I also agree that we should have more than 3 save files.
Comments
but where you get them? half of these i didn't see in the preview
Sorry not sure how to resize them and such, just thought I'd post them here for the forum community to see.
cool beans
upload them to photobucket.com then adjust to about 1000pix wide then just use the img tagged link upon saving as copy
Thoughts?

This affected especially my first playthrough.
And hmm, is that doug in one screenshot, and Carley in another?
You could interpret this as Lee being really stressed out and couldn't think through all of the options he had before he needed to make a decision.
I agree with u..

main worry now is if the game comes out on June of 4 billion AD then the earth may no longer be around before episode 3 comes out.
We are not amused...someone already did this joke and it still sucks imo lol
