Walking Dead Start/Activation Issue [Merged Thread]
When I click to play game I get this message: Your telltale account does not have license for this game. Would you like to go to telltale game and purchase this game now. I'VE ALREADY BOUGHT THIS GAME AND HAVE PLAYED IT PREVIOUSLY SO WHAT IS THE DEAL?????????:mad:

I thought that once you activated the game with your account that was it, it was activated and didn't require any other checks.
I bought the game through this site earlier today, downloaded and ran the installs, then started up.
Keep getting the same error each time it asks me to unlock the game:
"Unable to establish a connection to the Telltale servers to verify the ownership status of this account. Please ensure that you have an active internet connection."
Since then I've tried uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling, adding to my firewall exceptions list, both email as username and username.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It's possibly a server issue. Myself and a couple of others on the forum are having problems with our accounts that have already been activated. My only advice would be to wait awhile for the servers to start working again.
At least I'm not alone :P

i got this message but i dont know why, i pruchased the game in pre offered an already play episode ONE
So today i load from Homepage WlakingDead100_v2Setup.exe but still have this message

First it told me that there was a server error or that there is no internet connection...
Now it tells me that my telltale account doesn't have a license for this game. I'm trying to log in on the Walking Dead Site... It won't work.
Any suggestions?

I merged your thread and some others. As you can read above the web team is already working on the issue.
Not exactly. Normally you can play TWD offline.
Though at least in my case it doesn't work offline anymore either, since i started the game while the server was acting up. My wild guess is, that it messed up the activation somehow.
You can of course try if it still works offline for you.

EDIT: Nevermind, after a couple of restarts the game prompted me for my account details. Playing it as we speak
How do I enter my account details to sort this?
One is where the the game couldn't connect to the server to authenticate (which appears to have been fixed now).
The second (and the start of this topic) is one where the server was connecting anyway, the game had already been validated and played on episode 1, and now its connecting but saying there is no license on the account. (I have this problem too.. can't do anything with it at all and this error still exists.)
I've sent in a support ticket but had no response yet. Been having similar issues with the sam and max games too and had to validate all of those using the codes.

Basically, start the game with the spacebar held down and put your details in again. It should then connect and authenticate properly.
