I didn't steal the food, because it seemed to me that I would act just like those cannibal assholes who tried to eat us. Yeah, they loved each other, took care of each other, but had no compassion for other human beings and I wasn't sure if that car was really abandoned. What if there was family who'd later come back there to only find their empty car. They'd be devastated, wouldn't know what to do and'd probably die, because of me. And also I wanted to support Clementine after all that happened.
if you dont take it kenny and the others take it and Lee and Clementine stay on their moral high ground
yeah as it's one of the many game does it anyway plot device which makes the game easier to make but sucks for the 'choice system' i knew telltale would have to limit stuff..
i said take it but with remorse..
clem gave me the look but i convinced her
on my moraly grey first play..will say no and be honest with on my 2nd..
i let it there considering that clementine just saw someone get salt licke'd she doesn't needs another "bad" thing on her mind.
eating food and being warm would help take the 'bad things' off her mind
the way i see it, i can't let a little girls judgement of me dictate how i'd survive a ZA. you've been starving for months, you don't know where your next meal is coming from. i do believe they may be some serious fall out from taking the food & supplies (like clem being spotted wearing those clothes) but it's just the reality of what i'd do in that situation.
I think it is necessary in a future episode that Lee needs to make a hard choice that reminds Lee that he is the adult and Clem is the child and that our morality shouldn't be fully based on what she thinks. one possible consequence is not taking the jacket causes Clementine to get sick and she needs it in a later episode and she doesnt want to take it and you have to insist she takes it because What she needs is more important then what she wants
Trying to see it as a real live situation, there was no way I would leave that food there. The owners of the car were probably dead and, if not, they should not leave those things there unattended. And more than that, we really needed that food, so…
Was better to take that food and, if I find the owners, try to compensate them somehow (I would have no problems to let them join the group) than to leave it there to rot while we were hungry.
I would also had spent a little more time in there to see if there was someone around and, in case of a negative, would had also looted parts of the car. After all, this kind of thing may become rare.
Eh...I'm thinking it will have a larger outcome. I'm sticking with Clementine's side. To those who said that Clementine would not wear the red hoodie because of the episode 3 trailer, remember back to the episode 2 trailer. She did not wear the same dress she did in episode 2.
I honestly dont think Clem will wear the red hoodie if you dont take it because i took it in my second play and didnt in my first and in the taken one she wore it but the not taken she didnt

You are partially right about this. We really cannot fully base our expectations and predictions at the ending trailer.
But in at the final of the first one they probably hadn’t prepared Clem’s outfits so she wasn’t with the same clothes that she uses in the game. But you could see Carly or Doug depending of your choices.
Now they have her outfit with the jacket, so if they decided to put her with and without (depending on your choices) I think there may be a reason.
(Not that this is very important, but just saying.)
I was pretty certain the people were dead, but I refrained from stealing from it. Knowing WD, they'll show up alive and pissed off just for that.
Realistically I would have waited around for a bit, and if they didn't return, I'd consider them dead and take it all. Hell, maybe even take the car, if anyone knew how to hot-wire

I killed the first brother but left the second one. As of the car, at first I looted it, but halfway through the scene I was feeling like shit and couldn´t keep going, so I reloaded my save and left them be.
It's a miracle itself to have your group starving to stumble upon an abandoned car during these harsh times, and you would turn it down?! x_x
It is a miracle, a rather too good to be true miracle. Why is a car there, with it's light on (which means that it hasn't been abandoned for too long)? Where are the owners? Something fishy is going on here...

Didn't Duck hear the car park or something? If so, that implies that the owners could have been watching them from afar.

We discussed the possibilities in another thread. I really don't think the car was just parked - yes the lights are on, but a decent battery will last fir a few hours, even longer if there was gas in the car and the engine was left running.
Also, Duck hears a noise, and Kenny says "it [the noise] sounds like a car". This means the noise is on going. It can't be the sound of the car driving and parking, because the car had no gas, and the engine did not even turn over when Lee tried the keys (perhaps maybe because the battery had drained from having the lights left on?). The noise was most likely the car's "open door" or "key's in the ignition" indicator.
We do know that the car was abandoned hastily - it's even possible that, when they left, they intended to return. However, it wasn't recently abandoned, and the longer it was from the time they left, the less likely it is that they will be able to return. And I think the time was probably longer rather than shorter.
Ofcourse you take the food, if not you are risking the lives of a group of people (including children) that you KNOW to be alive, it would be completely illogical to gamble with the safety of the group for the sake of morality in such a situation.
Had you been fairly well stocked back at the garage then fair enough, leaving the food would be an option, but the whole episode was about the group starving.
Also about it being the crazy lady's car (as suggested in the video), it is also a possibility that she wasn't the last person to have the car, and a certainty if the lights being on wasn't just a continuity issue. If so then whoever last had the car likely stole it anyway.

I didn't steal the food from the car. I figured that the week's worth of food left would be enough for me, Lilly and Clem before we set off to find more.
didnt shoot the lady, sided with lilly (when deciding to kill or help larry).sparred both brothers, didnt take the food. I now have a new opinion on Kenny, hes an idiot

What period of time are you in? Zombie Apocalypse. High chance, everything is dead.

Realistically, who would end up getting the food if you don't take it? The bandits. >.<
Episode 3
Newcomer: Hey you stole my stuff!
Lee: You want to join our group and get our protection?
Newcomer: Ok but im still not happy
who would really walk away from such a present in this scenario? in fact, they should have just filled the car up with gas and took off with the car
lol, so either way the group is fed; non-sense.
this is what i mean by walking dead not really having multiple choices. give me distinct paths that will split the storyline in two.

Maybe lee knows how to hotwire.....
Most probably. After all, he is… urban.

He heard the "door ajar" dinging sound.
