<SPOILERS> Query about decision made

edited June 2012 in The Walking Dead
I talked to Kenny, when he was pushing Duck on the swing, and he mentioned that I didn't look too bothered when Larry wanted to throw Duck out, back at the drugstore. Well I chose to stick up for Duck. On the stats it mentioned that I sided with Larry, as one dialogue choice I chose accidently as I thought it meant that I would be siding with Kenny (think you know which one I mean). Although generally I didn't want to throw Duck out. I guess I'm confused why Kenny seems p*** that I didn't help his son, when I know that I was sticking up for Duck, and not Larry. Is it just using the stats to determine, what the character says to you because it seems a bit odd.

I had the same issue. The "Reason with him" option was some kind of a pit trap and I counted 3 times in-game that Kenny got all butt hurt about it.

Since that one response was pretty much at the height of the argument I think it was just the most important response for the game to track, so all of his memories are based off of that one choice.

That being said, I found my loyalties shifting in ep2 somewhat, so him being butthurt isn't as much of an issue as it could have been.

Yes same here. I never thought I'd say this, but I am beginning to understand Larry more this episode. I am trying to be the "nice" guy on this playthrough, as I did in episode 1. I am finding these decisions difficult. I am trying to get everybody to like me, if possible and the rationing was the first of those big decisions. I took a long hard time, trying to decide who to give food to. I thought that it was important to look after the kids, but the other 2 rations was a tricky choice.
But yeah it did bother me that sticking up for Duck did not follow through to this episode.

yes true I found myself switching allegiances because of this. The thing is I sided with Larry on every playthrough so far. The 2nd playthrough was when I was a total jerk, so made sense to side with larry. On my third playthrough (which is still incomplete) I was silent, so that counted as siding with Larry too.
