What do you think of the kids in the walking dead game?

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
I think Duck can be annoying. But Clem is my real priority. When Danny Sait. John grabbed her hair and pulled her back i swore i would kill him. So if anyone messes with Clem their dead. What do you think about the kids?

Clementine is my priority too, which I think is a pretty standard response. Duck has a really annoying face, and I was prepared to absolutely hate him, but he's turned out to be one of the nicer, more reasonable characters so far.

clem is very sweet and kind she even tried to help calm the teenager down when they first got to the motel by pulllin him away and sayin come see what i drew.

i just hope her seein people die and stuff doesnt effect her pysche growing up

duck seems like the lil bad rugrat type kid he reminds me of dennis the menace he is full of life and loves being a kid

Let all the world burn down to its foundations, so long as Clemantine is saved!

Should have traded the other brat for Mark to the farmers, then we could all have sat down to a lovely meal of Roast Duck ;) :D :p

I think Duck is pretty damn useless.

I think Clem is pretty much the heart and soul of TWD. I can see Lee dying at the end just so that she can get away before I see her getting killed off.

Duck... let's just say I'm quite happy that the writers shut him up and gave him very few lines in EP2. I'm kind of curious where EP3 will take him though. There were some hints that he'll "start to get it" during that episode.

I wonder if Lee is violent around her if she'll be 'messed up' around episode 5..... Clementine obviously.

Just something I was randomly wondering after seeing how many chances you can be super violent in front of her.

Extra hammer-bashing the babysitter. (You can stop before it gets stuck.)
Only saving Doug or Carley (She's standing right in front of you so she sees it all.)
Her getting attacked by zombies. TWICE. Thusfar.
Killing both brothers potentially in front of her.
Pulling Lilly away to kill her father.
Telling Clem that her parents are never coming back.
Showing up with a guy with half a leg.
    Seeing Mark legless.
    Having her eat human meat.

...... And I'm sure I'm missing stuff there!

Duck will probably tone down in future episodes as suggested in episode 3 trailer. Other than the constant yapping in Episode 1 and the accidental death of Shawn, he has been well-behaved in Episode 2.

Clem is a star. She does still have strict principles like not wanting to steal food from the car or quesntioning the necessity of killing the 2 brothers. But I think we will see more of this in Episode 3 - the bandits will start coming around to their Motor Inn because the dairy farm, where they used to get their food from, is no more.

I would like to see how she develops in Episode 3. But thus far, she is my most favourite character and I always made Lee treat her nicely.

I'm really just hoping that Clementine doesn't end up like Carl in the TV show. He just turned into a complete douche with no respect and got Dale killed.

I think Duck's got that character arc covered.

Hopefully, EP3 takes Duck underneath the train seen in the promo. :p

I always kinda tried to "shelter" Clementine as much as possible (kinda like you would with a real kid), thankfully, she seems to get the difference between Walkers and people (so she's a step ahead of even Hershel there). But I fully expect that kid to grow up with issues. I didn't kill the brothers (though I wanted to), tried to help Lilly with her father, did the comforting lie routine about her parents "it could be a while...", "I'm sure they'll try to find us", etc. and kept her from eating Mark Meat.

The rest of it you can't really prevent (I mean, you can trade the one-legged man for a guy that was shot, so I guess that's something of an improvement, but still).

I will kill Duck and Kenny mahself.

Clementine and Carley will be safe even if Lee has to die for that.

Clem is a sweetheart. Lee has become her surrogate father and definitely does everything for her. But my question is if Telltale will kill her off in the last episode. I mean, how much more heartwrenching could that be?

Lee says it himself in the first episode (if you give the bitten girl the gun), there is no happy ending in this world. What could possibly be a worse ending than that?

As for Duck, I know he'll survive, his father will put EVERYONE to death before his son gets it. If Duck gets infected, we may very well see the end of Kenny, and the end of Lee's hope to get on the boat as a series ender. Duck needs to survive for Kenny to survive...

But episode five just makes me think that one of the two kids is going to get killed off.

I can see Kenny pulling a Shane and feed someone to the walkers if it means saving his son. What I first saw as a strong ally and friend from episode 1 just became a problem and a possible threat in episode 2 to the group.

something is wrong with duck i mean he is the reason hershels son is dead attacked by walkers hearing larry say what to thorw him out people dieing around him and he keeps eating marks legs after lee tells them waht it is i think hes going to go crazy and try to kill everyone

If Duck gets infected Kenny becomes the bad guy (it might be because of your choice).

As for the "ending", I think that there will be like one or two decisions made in previous episodes that will bite you in the ass.

I think there will be several endings, one happy ending (with the right previous decisions), normal endings (some loss), sad ending (lee dies to save the others), and nightmare ending (everyone failed CLEM IS DEAD)

As for Kenny, he's gonna be an ally or an ennemy depending on the choices you make. But we all know Lily can't die so I got the feeling he's gonna be an ennemy no matter what.

It's The Walking Dead. "Happy ending" is not going to be an option.

I'm not sure why everyone hates Duck so much. He's just a kid for chrissake. Sure, he's not the smartest kid or the quietest, but he just acts like a normal kid and considering he's living through A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, I'd say he's being remarkably well-behaved. It's a little unfair that he has to be compared to Clementine's exceptional, Dakota-Fanning-esque behavior.

I think keeping their child innocence alive is going to drive me crazy, it is not easy choosing between the moral thing and the survival thing to do. Clementine is affecting too much my decisions (not in the "right or wrong" kind of way) and this maybe a good thing to keep my image of comfort for her, although she knows something bad happened between Lee and the senator.
(spoiler)For now I'm happy Duck didn't play a big part in the second episode.

I feel that they're not fantastic friends.
They're quite apart one from the other.
Rarely playing together, rarely have a conversation... I feel they are too different to be close friends.

LOL, poor Duck! The kid doesn't have smarts, that true, but I feel bad for the poor kid.

He gets grabbed by two walkers, threatened with death by a group of adults, and eats a person that he was living with. Then he gets used as some sort of sick leverage for his mom to take care of a pregnant cow by the same people who fed him people meat.

He's going to be one messed up adult if he ever realizes exactly what happened to him.
