I have no sound on the walking dead

I've played through the entire first episode of walking dead with no sound. The sound works fine on my computer for everything else but that game. Also, I've played many other telltale titles without having sound issues. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix this.

    I assume you made sure the volume is turned up in the game?
    If you have a recent windows Version also make sure that the game is not muted in the windows volume mixer.

    If neither helps, please post your dxdiag info.

    dxdiag
    Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
    Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.

    Now click on the button that says "save all information".
    It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

    Open the file and press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents, and paste them in a reply by pressing CTRL-V.

    i have my audio settings at 10 for everything. No sound. I'm wondering if the drivers updated correctly. i'm not getting any sound in itunes either now. i'm going to try again.

    it said it installed properly. I reset and i'm getting no sound in anything anymore.

    In the dxdiag it looks like the driver is properly installed and the speakers are connected, and set as default.
    I have no reasonable explanation as to why there should be no sound now.

    Please open the Realtek HD Audio Manager (The little orange speaker in the system tray) and make sure that the volume is turned up there too, and not muted.
    Also check if the number of speakers is set correctly.
    Finally, you can try plugging your speakers into a different jack. It should come up with a popup window, where you need to select that you want to use them as speakers.

    If none of that works, you can try uninstalling the new Realtek driver, and using the Audio driver that your PC Manufacturer provides.

    If that fails too, you can uninstall the sound driver, and try what Microsoft installs as default sound driver.
    Alternatively you can revert to the system restore point before the installation of the latest realtek hda driver.

    I've the same problem... 1° chapter is ok, in the 2° there are no effect or music but the voice are ok...

    I know this is an old thread but I came across it when I had this problem when I was about to play Walking Dead 2 today and managed to fix it.
    When loading up the game I got music and sound effects but no voice.
    I reinstalled drivers - no good. I recall when I played it before, sometimes a reboot would get it to work but multiple reboots failed this time.
    After all this messing about I wondered if it may not be a software problem but a hardware issue instead. Guess what? It was.
    I wobbled the jack around in the back of the pc and lo and behold the voice came through. Yay!
    Wish I had not wasted a morning with all the software stuff.
    I don't know if this is what is causing other peoples problems but its how I fixed it. Hope this helps someone else.
