There should be a 2 hour fight scene.

I think episode 4 should be around 4-5 hours long and have a 2 hour fight scene in there.

I think it will be the biggest fight ever in the entire game and it will always be exciting and new every time you play it and death will be everywhere.

So what do you guys think?

Dumbest idea ever or sounds good?

A 2 hour battle scene? While it sounds good in theory, it would be exhausting for the average player. If you were in a situation where walkers were pouring at you, possibly from multiple directions, and you were fighting for your life, the stress levels would be high. And what if you got near the end, only to get killed? You'd have to start the whole battle over? :S

I think at best we could hope for a battle set over a whole episode, but with pauses here or there to give the player a chance to take a breather.

Yeah that's kinda what I meant. Also some checkpoints and stuff. Like maybe it's a battle of Walkers and Bandits and your group and you find small parts in the battle to take a rest and just talk.

Don't go there with me I know that better then any one but every now and then Rick's group has to face some of the toughest groups of walkers and enemy survivors they've ever seen. Yeah it's rare to see a big fight but every now and then Rick and his group have to go to battle whether it be going toe to toe with over 200 walkers or in some long range gun fights and sometimes even both at the same time.

I don't think the current control engine would work for any sort of protracted fight.

And I think my thumbs would fall off if I was asked to do even a 15 minute event-button-click thing.

While there have been massive herd shoot outs in the comics. They were all pretty much resolved in 6 pages or less.

there already is a 2 hour fight scene. When you are fighting with the guy at the end of episode 2 and he tries to push your face into the fence, just press A really fast. If you do it quickly enough you will overpower the moment which normally Lily will come to your rescue. Then you can continue to press the A button as long as you want and nothing will happen till you stop pressing it.

This means the 'fight' can last as long as you want to keep pressing that button! =) Making it possibly the longest fight in history! (so long as your thumb holds out)

I went for about 10 or 15 minutes pressing the A button while searching the internet for something that I might have missed. I did not want to give up. Eventually I just got sick of it as the scene seems to require you to just give up eventually to trigger your 'rescue' event by either lily or kenny (depending on your earlier choices).
