So far very dissapointed in outcomes

edited June 2012 in The Walking Dead
Honestly i wanted game to have more outcomes so far very bad...

I under stand no matter what you need to end up same spot as everyone for next chapter but...

-I was hoping you could somehow save larry... i mean it was stupid how he died and all i gave him food for nothing hoping he would evenutally grow like me but just dies.

I was kinda hoping for more was for people to live/die

So far no choice mattered from episode 1 to episode 2 besides the on obvious of who to save at end of EP1.

Well I wouldn't say it was stupid that he died. We know and he obviously knew that he had a history of heart problems and he couldn't calm down even though he clearly wasn't going to damage the door or get the brothers attention. His death also plays the deciding role in whether you choose Kenny or Lilly's side. Personally, in the two previous occasions in the episode when it came to talking about Kenny or Lilly being the leader I stayed neutral, and the neutrals had to make a choice over Larry's death.

I choose to side with lilly on that one... i actually felt very bad because well i had kenny's back in ep1 and early ep2 but i could not let him die without trying.

I hope this does not mean he hates me.

I didn't give Larry food or anything so i was happy to see him go. When that brick or whatever it was smashed his face, i had a big smile on my face.
    :)

I didn't want Mark to die though

I wanted him to die honestly he was a threat to the group but i also thought of the possibility of keeping lilly happy.. so i gave him food to shut him up.

The first episode introduced us to Lee and the choice mechanics, and I think this episode was all about showing us Telltale were 'on the ball' and were going to hold NO bars when it came to story mechanics (I mean really, DIY amputation is one thing, but eating a man's legs and keeping him alive for more are another thing altogether).

We did, however, make a diffinitive choice this time around though, after probably dancing around the Lilly Vs. Kenny issue, we were forced to make a choice. For me, the 'Larry assistance' choice was ep.2's version of 'Doug or Carley'. no dought we will be seeing some major changes next episode when we start to do some travelling and some choice making.

I genuinely thought he was dead and still believe he was before Kenny dropped the block on his head. After playing the game through I still think I done the best decision for my game. Like I said I have sided with Kenny all throughout the game, even sticking up for Duck when Larry wanted to kill him (I don't like Duck).

The only thing persisting in my mind is that though I think Kenny would be more able to handle situations better under pressure, I still feel that Kenny would have no problem causing Lee's death if it meant saving himself and his family.

Lilly on the other hand, doesn't have Larry anymore so could probably make a stronger connection with Lee now. Although I have a feeling Lilly will leave the group next episode.

Yeah, she does need to go and do some spoiler-ey stuff with the guvenor, so I dont think she will hang around long.

    I definitely agree with this.

The way I could see it playing out is that Lilly leaves the group, Kenny decides to leave on the RV but depending on whether you sided with him in killing Larry, he may or may not ask you to go with him.

Looking back on that though, if you went with Lilly in the Larry situation, and Kenny went off in his RV without you, the group would only consist of Lee, Clem, Carley/Doug, and Ben. And I don't know where the plot would go from there.

Ah well, that's just a few musings from me.

I was a bit disappointed that my decision to side with kenny in episode 1 meant nothing. There was a continuity glitch. Becasue of that "reason with him" dialogue choice, I sided with larry, instead of Kenny by accident, so kenny thinks I didn't stick up for Duck at the drugstore when I did. That frustrated me a little, as my conversation in the drugstore didn't track. When kenny smashed larry's head in that was f**** up. He is clearly a loose cannon. I can't believe he would do that, and in front of kids. Poor Clem.

Yeah, that's why I didn't dare to help Kenny finish off Larry. For Clem's sake I didn't want her to be scared of me and also for Lilly's sake I wanted to show her that I care for her and Larry just as much as everyone else in the group.
