Jolene (crazy lady) - you had a choice to let her live?

At the end of the game, it shows your biggest decisions and it says if you let Danny (think it's Danny) shoot her or not. I don't remember ever having a say in whether Danny shot her or not. I was trying to reason and talk with the lady and then he shoots and kills her.

What is the other choice you can make there?

    After she talks once or twice, you get the option to shoot her yourself in the dialogue options.
