Andy, Danny and Brenda

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
Youl notice that when Lee and Mark go out to fix the fences he turns the fence on to try and kill you. He says he heard mark yell to turn it on but mark only yells after he turns it on.

When you Go out to hunt bandits with danny you find the CamCorder and dannys like Oh crap what have you got there. And when you say its not working hes like Oh Phew. (meaning that hes afraid youl find out they are killers)

The only reason you and danny go out hunting for bandits is to leave INJURED Mark alone with brenda and Andy so they can Start to kill him.

Also When brendas on the porch and you go up to her shes like "dinners ready soon" then her face goes all DEMONIC, it looks just like a graphical glitch but you can tell shes an evil mofo

I just knew something was wrong about these guys the moment i've seen them...

It was fairly obvious from the start there was something sinister about them. I had a weird feeling it was either going to be canabalism or one of the brothers telling Lee he had a "real purdy mouth" >_>

I decided to be naieve and think everything was all happy families untill I saw the room in the barn, where I found out exactly what was going on.

Poor Mark, he woulda made a great member of the group

The thing I found the funniest is that when you find out what's going on and Brenda's going on and on trying to justify their bullshit the only thing going through my mind is that Brenda should volunteer to be eaten herself, the bitch is fat enough to feed a family for a month. And I think that's what pisses me off the most, the fact that they felt they had more right to survive than anyone else despite being just a fat old lady and two older men, whereas your group had kids in.

I do wonder what exactly they were going to do after dinner had we not found out. Were they expecting us to forget all about Mark and not notice us disappearing one by one? What kind of meat did the others think they were eating? Chicken?

Lmao, yes I noticed the evil look from Brenda when she said supper is nearly ready.. and I'm like, oh? Well can I go check on Mark? When she tells me I can't I'm like, I knew it, I fucking knew it! You bitches are cannibals and Mark is up there with no legs! I KNEW IT!!!!! Oh and when you talk to... Andy I think, when he's polishing his gun, he says they have REAL special supper planned, or something like that. And I'm like, lemme guess.. Mark? It was so predictable but they still did a really good job with it!

That's actually a really good question. Why did nobody think "This farm only has one cow, which is very alive, what the hell are we about to eat?"

Also, I think the little hints Andy was dropping were intentional. Cause in the barn he says you weren't ready to know yet, implying that at some point, they wanted you to find out. They just wanted to make sure you wouldn't freak out about it.

Danny gave it away for me. It seemed to me like he had eaten some bad meat. Eyes sunken in and his nose is red as hell and it looked to me like it got worse as the episode went on. Just a creepy dude and something in his head was messed up.

Andy seemed more or less normal...you know, with the exception that he was eating people.

Yeah once I learned that the cow was the only animal there and it was sick my cannibal detector became active. When they said that they ran a dairy farm and had loads of food I was expecting them to have lots of dairy-based food products.

I'm not sure they were planning on recruiting us or anything, my impression was that they felt that you were all going to die anyway, and that we would be ready for the 'truth' when they wanted to eat us, but I'm not 100% certain. Maybe they were crazy enough to think they could convince us that eating people was good, or maybe they were playing the part of the 'helpful hosts' in an attempt to delude themselves they were not eating them.

Well, I thought they were trying to drug them with the dinner... so they could safely put them in the fridge for later "consumption".

I had all kinds of thoughts about these people, cannibalism being one of them. I also had the unnerving idea that Telltale was actively trying to deceive us and in the end this family turns out to be just some friendly folks ... by which time we would have screwed up everything with our unjustified paranoia, e.g. by sabotaging the fence and destroying this family's "safe" haven.

at first i thought they were just goofy rednecks but when danny shot that lady then was being weird while cleaning his gun, thats when i knew something was up with this family.

That's what got my attention on my first playthrough as well and immidiatly blew up my already glowing defcon light bulbs.

I knew these people were evil soon as I got to the farm, Nobody can be that nice in a world like that.. it's a dark and scary world and they were pretending that it's not...
  • Danny is the one polishing the gun, not Andy.

I head someone in another thread have the idea of them just being a normal family we destroyed by distrusting, and I still really like that idea.

Also, I've pointed this out before, but wouldn't the lack of electricity mean no refrigerator, which would be big trouble for a dairy farm?

I'm pretty sure they intended to try and convert at least some of you, judging by certain things. When the truth comes out, they don't pull guns on you until after it is clear your group is not okay with this. It's clear from the "wasteful" plan of killing all but one of you afterwards that they didn't plan on having this many prisoners. Why make dinner at all if killing everyone was the plan? Seems more like a way to show them how "good" cannibalism can be. Why fix the swing? Why wait so long? Why not just take the kids hostage as soon as everyone arrives, rather than let them snoop around?

  • Maybe because of the bandits ?
They might wanted to make some more food for them as a gift of forgiveness ?

  • Definitely not. We don't know exactly why their deal went south, but the bandits are unlikely to listen to what they have to say, as opposed to shooting first, as shown with what happens to Lee and Mark when trying to clear the fence. And if that were the case, Brenda wouldn't talk them having to kill all but one for that reason, since she could just cook them up and give them to the bandits. If anything, I think it's more likely she was hoping to find allies in the group to help fight off the bandits, who were a big problem for them.
