Any one else thing that the cow was infected and had turned and the food that was sent back initially was tainted and would be very bad if they got it.

i was very hesitant about accepting anything till i could see the cow myself.

the reality turned out much worse

    TBH, I thought of cannibalism the first time I saw these guys. My first thought was "propably they just gonna lure us into an ambush or something" second thought was "cannibalism!".
    I think they made it a bit too obvious what was going on on the dairy farm, as well. What I didn't understand was why the group seemingly didn't care about why they had to wait so long for the meal. I mean seriously most of them ate NOTHING the whole day - and they didn't even ask for a bread or something, they just wait until it's evening for the "great feast"?

    well there was the basket of rolls or scones or whatever sent back that may have helped them wait for dinner.

    but then when your starving and desperate you may not be thinking as clearly as you would when well fed.

    and be willing to accept alittle strange( in strange times) in the promise of a meal

    Everyones already "tainted" doesn't really make a difference.
