*Spoiler* In regards to the farmers

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
I know most here are saying they thought they were cannibals right when they met them. Did anyone else think they were feeding their "guests" to their departed Zombie Dad? I was expecting to find the Dad upstairs chained to a bed surrounded by human bones and knawed on bodyparts.

Heheheh I actually thought the same. I was thinking the barn had something do to with that until I managed to unlock it. Then the hidden room was my second guess until I found Mark...

The term "So bite me" should NEVER be used in that house.

They take it literally, those people. :D

Clever thought, I actually was questioning if it was a zombie cow that we were eating goods from, then I remembered there's no such thing as infected animals in the walking dead universe.
My 2nd thought was immediately cannibals, though I can't say why I had thought that immediately when I got to the farm, before the rest of the group even showed up.

they just looked evil in the face and they have food but only one cow and had many guests that nolonger are there

That would have been a fine idea, but nah I still thought cannibalism right away. Anyone who claims to have plenty of food while everyone else is starving in an apocalyptic world must be a cannibal.

"Think this through... THIS IS NOT A RANCH!"

    Most people spit it out.

    I love the dinner scene.

    dinnertime...

I just saw Book of Eli on TV recently and that's what made me think "cannibals!". That and the fact that things seemed just too good to be true at the dairy . . . in the post-apocalypse world, never trust anyone nice to you!

i love how duck keeps eating even while lees stopping everyone else.

i really hope in a future episode we get introduced to a sketchy character who is actually not sketchy at all and is in fact protecting us from the seemingly friendly people

Duck found people delicious. I didn't know they were cannibals, but when the fence turned on and arrows started flying I knew they were bastards, but I guess Lee is kinda dumb.

It was clear that something was not right at the farm, but my first thought was that the St. John's Dairy brothers were in cahoots with the bandits, bringing people to them for purposes as yet unknown. My suspicions were mostly raised by the whole family's sales pitch about how safe the farm was and how vulnerable the motor inn by comparison.

On a second playthrough where I knew what was going on, Danny seemed more evil and unstable, while Andy seemed like he could have been a better person under normal circumstances.

When 'Momma' and her boys kept trying to get my entire group to the place I knew something was up. Okay, when she said the cow was sick I immediately wanted to tell the guys not to take the food the lady gives them, since I thought the animal was zombiefied. Cannabalism didn't enter my mind straight away untill the scene with Jolene, when Danny was a little too happy that the boxes were empty. Then when I couldn't find Mark it just cemented it for me.

I think that quote really shows how much of a stand up kind of guy Mark really was.

He was lying on the floor without legs and when someone comes to his rescue his first thought isn't 'GET ME THE @*#% OUT OF HERE!' like mine would have been, but rather 'Save our group from unknowingly committing cannibalism'.

...Or maybe he was just delirious.

Now that brings up an interesting question:

Did Brenda actually bring him some of...himself?

    Ew.
