Episode 2 download does not work on mac

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
Can we please have some help with this issue? If purchased from your site the game will stop downloading before finishing, the patch you made does not work. Can we please have an alternative way of getting to the game we payed for?

Having the exact same issue. Still waiting for a solution.

There are multiple posts on this problem on this board and I have vented my frustration in every one of them. I've long lost count of how many times I tried to download episode 2 only to have the download interrupted at some point supposedly because my Internet connection is bad. I'm curious to see if this will go on for an entire week, at which point I'm prepared to travel to San Rafael, California, kidnap the entire TTG staff and then force them to watch my mother-in-law's vacation diashows of the last 35 years.

Yup. There's lots of posts on the forums about it. In typical Telltale fashion they don't acknowledge there is an issue and have not told anyone they are even attempting to fix it.

I have asked for a full refund as I'm fed up with the bullshit surrounding this game from this incompetent company.

This company is worse than Blizzard, and that says a lot. FFS help us!

    super frustrating..

I also have this problem, I'm on MacOSX my download stops at 80-81%... I have tried like 20 times already.

Took almost an entire week, but last night the download FINALLY worked. By the time the download reached 98% I was sweating bullets.

When episode 3 comes out (sometime within the next 7 months) I'm gonna wait for a week before even attempting to download it.

And the next time TTG publishes a game I really need to have (rather than boycott those fools) I'll wait until the entire season is out before doing anything about it.

I've tried 4 times and no luck. Very disappointing. I bet that wouldn't happen if I was downloading it P2P....

OK. Make that 5 times. I hope someone at TTG is paying attention, because this is how you lose customers.

The problem may indeed be our individual internet connections. I had a problem downloading episode 2, but I changed my location and internet connection and the game downloaded just fine. Perhaps try downloading the game from a different location?

I think connections are not an issue. There a lots of folks distribution large files. It cannot be that hard! Why not distribute the download through a web interface (in contrast to the in-game download)?

And now I'm at 6 times and no luck. I have made numerous checks to ensure my connect is solid and can rule out the problem being at my end. I will seriously think twice before I buy another TTG game, which is a shame as the product itself was compelling.

Have the same issue, tried at least 10 times and always stops at 81% so has nothing to do with internet connection....

    from the Telltale blog:
"we will strive to improve our communication with you so that you know what’s happening"

    so, our question:
"what’s happening? Are you working on this problem? "

I downloaded and played through episode 2 this morning. Although it took quite a while. It started znd wen tform 1-2% in a second. Then it didn't move until, apparently it was done. Took my macbook at least 40mins to gets this done. Worked brilliantly ater that. So no better tip than patience. But I reckon all of you have already tried the patience trick.....

Having same problem and frustrations!!! Episode 2 download gets to between 60% and 80% and quits saying "lost connection". I have tried 8 times today with no luck. REALLY disappointed with TTG.

Usually the best policy. I loved being able to play all of Tales of Monkey Island at once.
