For everybody that loves zombie games about humans

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
I have really enjoyed this Walking Dead game and can't wait for the next episodes.

I hope people don't get upset but I want to let people know that there is a great game being funded on Kickstarter called "Dead State". It's also a zombie game that is focused on humans. It's going to be a great zombie RPG.

Please take the time to take a look and consider pledging to this great future game:

Sorry for the "spamming" but I just know that if you love this game and RPG's you will love Dead State.

Thought I am not affiliated with Dead State aside from being a pledger, if you have any questions about the game I'm happy to answer here.

Like the walking dead game, dead state focuses on the human relationship and the constant fight for resources, organazation and survival. Dialog with your fellow survivors is critical. There is a constant struggle for influence, moral, and unity.

The team sums up the story as:

"You’re a survivor in the zombie apocalypse. As far as you know, civilization has collapsed on a global scale. The only thing for certain is that the dead are preying on the living and most of the living are getting more desperate as time goes on. Somehow, you need to find a way to survive. Your best bet is to find other survivors and resources to increase your chances, but nothing is easy in this new world."

This is the type of game that a regular studio would never make. The only way for it to be real is for people like us to "pay in advance". At the lower pledge levels you are basically pre-orderding the game (at a big discount).

Right now the game is trying to reach some really cool stretch goals and needs every supporter possible.

A game like this can be the birth of a game studio that produces the kind of games that are otherwise already lost.

Last day to pledge to preorder the game at almost half price! We are shooting for a stretch goal that adds another huge area to explore and scavenge and also to add animals.

This game is going to be awesome. If you pledge at $21 you also get (the making of style) developer updates throughout the whole process.

If you love zombies and RPG's like Fallout, X-Com, Balders Gate ect please come on over and help us on the last push.

Isn't that the game that's been in the making for like 3/4 years and only now is showing bits of gameplay?

I'd much rather stick with Project Zomboid to be honest.

Its an interesting game, especially with (and if by what I think is correct) Tile based gameplay mixed with other features to give a good feel about it. However Im more shocked people actually were willing to donate 5000 bucks.....
