EP2 preview from EP1 was inaccurate (EP2 spoilers)
At the end of episode 1 when they showed "next on the walking dead", a lot of the previewed ep2 scenes never happened for me.
examples:
1: Carley giving me half an energy bar
2: KAT thanking me for saving Duck at the farm (Kenny did though)
3: Kenny saying "somethings comin' Lee, there's gonna be a war" with Lily and her dad talking in the background by the farm.
4: Lily chewing me out for never liking her dad
5: The person begging for "no more, please!" while I'm apparently hitting him with an ax. (could be the teacher losing his leg, but i never got this scene when i chose to remove his leg)
Maybe these things were cut or changed , or did i just not pick the right options to see them in the playthrough.

One reason that it's different could be that work was still going on with episode two when that was made and so changes could have been made to the design in that time.
Another possibility that it was intentionally different in places (note how it's the specifics that are different, not the general points) in order not to spoil future episodes by saying exactly what is gonna happen next but just give a general idea.
Like the trailer for the game showed scenes that don't exist in the game, they're there to give a general mood of the game rather than so specific scenes.
1. Carley insists that you keep the food if you offer it to her in the first place.
2. I think if you speak with Katjaa, she will say something.
3. I agree with you that this did not happen.
4. Same here.
5. The teacher's cries are heard when chopping off his leg.
Remember, the trailer is just meant to give you a glimpse of the episode. Some elements were not even permanent(Clem's dress).
The same thing happened in the Back to the Future Game too. I think the situation is that they plan for several ideas in future episodes but then they adapt and change things during the development between the episodes. It is fair enough, but it does make things a bit weird when you expect one thing to happen and then it never does.
