edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
Can it be that the women Danny shot was Clem's mom?
The ending might confirm it, so i wanted to discuss it.

    No and no and no...
Look at start of the game again Clem's mom is Diana and this woman is Jolene so they are different persons. That Jolene had her own child but that kid was kidnapped and probably raped by bandits according to her, so she became insane and started thinking that Clem is her own daughter.

That's about 5 threads now where Jolene is being discussed.

Jolene's not Clem's mom! You can see Clementine's mom and dad in the family photo in her house in episode 1.

Hit the nail right on the head.

As said, there is plentiful evidence to the contrary. And although the word of a developer is enough, I'll list them for you.

    - Clem's mum is named Diana, not Jolene,
    - You see a picture of Diana when you listen to the answering machine in Ep1,
    - Diana has a completely different accent to Jolene,
    - Jolene had a daughter, but she was taken by the bandits and one or both of them were raped, as we see in the recording at the end of Ep2,

Jolene is insane and obsessed with Clementine because she lost her daughter and wants to fill that void.

    Hope that helps.

Clem says her mom is a doctor, where as Jolene clearly is not a doctor. Unless she has a part time job at save lots because she doesn't make enough money as a doctor with an engineer husband.
