I personally think you will have a better overall experience keeping 1 original save file which you play every episode the first time with.
I see replaying the story as similar to Lee daydreaming about how things may have turned out if he had acted differently... Can go over things a million times and imagine how things would have been better if you hadn't done X, Y & Z, but ultimately what's happened has happened and in life you have to live with it.
On my first playthrough of Episode 2, there was emotion involved, and I was genuinely furious at the brothers, when I had the opportunity to impale Danny I took it before he could finish his sentence. There is nowhere near the same level of emotion and uneasiness when you already know what will happen, it's like Groundhog Day and you can make choices which you feel better fit your idea of right and wrong with the benefit of hindsight.
Yeah. Thinking about it, I would prefer finding out about this game after all five episodes are completed and download and play them all in a single day.

Yeah.... I really do WISH the whole thing was out. Or it would be great if they finished the whole series and then released them weekly, that way we could still talk about our experiences and anticipate the next episode, but the temptation to replay wouldn't be as strong!!
I guess the benefit of the waiting is the devs can see reactions to issues like unclear choices and silly dialogue and ensure they avoid similar mistakes.
Yeah I did restart one part as I think it's unfair that saying 'spit that out', instead of 'don't eat that' means Clementine eats human. That wasn't my choice and I got there in plenty of time. I was saying it to the group as some people were already eating it.
my first playthrough is a no regrets one, my wifes watching me play but she's disagreed with several of my choices so i suspect her playthrough will be a no re-start playthrough as well.
I see resetting as essential, I explore the different ways a episode can be played and then pick the one that matches best to my "mental plan" of how I want the game pan put

That's what I'm going to do, it'll be like watching your fav movie!
Personally I'm keeping one save game as my 'first experience' play through of the game on each of the episodes. Hence I'm keeping the choices that I've made on first contact while keeping the other saves as a what if play through.

i'm going to play the full five episode game until the end before i start my second playthrough. i'm not happy with all the choices i made, but i have to live with that. and i'm really excited to see how they will change the game.
can't wait to play episode 3, the game's really getting darker and better.
I don't think restarting is cheating... necessarily... but it's really the first playthrough and decision that matters.
I remember after I completed the first Witcher game (which got a lot of grey moral choices), I decided to replay it and select different options to see what changes, and I found out that I couldn't. I really didn't agree with the other options I was presented with, and I didn't want to choose them. I think it will be a similar situation to me with TWD.
I don't think it's "cheating" - just like being killed by a walker/whatever doesn't mean that you have completely lost the game. In the end, you are basically customizing your story - no option is really "wrong" (except for dying, but then you just get as many chances as you need to get past it). If you don't like "your" story, then feel free to rewind and change your decisions to what you DO like.
With that said, try to remember that this is a unique chance to see what kind of person you would be if the situation were real. Your "gut" choice should, in retrospect, provide you some sort of insight as to what you would value in an end-times scenario.

Yeah plus you can see a bigger picture depending on what actions you take. Can't wait to play episode 3 now to see how this story progresses.

Ditto!

I agree.
My first play through is straight forward what comes to mind. There is no rewind or reply when I find out my choice didn't have the desired outcome.
Save 2, I play through trying to please the group and kenny's family.
Save 3, I try to be gangsta lee. Make him out to be the uncaring murderer the media has portrayed him.

No.
But installing an aimbot and a wallhack certainly is.
What? If that was meant as i joke, i can straight out say that it wasn't funny.
So that makes 2 of us then.
Yeah I'll see what other avenues are opened choosing other options, but I have my main saved game which I'm living or dying by my decisions.
One thing will remain throughout and that's keeping little Clem safe.

Lol.. Am I the only one who understands this?
and now 3.
No I get it too...
And it's awesome!
