Brenda Ending Part. Need Help.

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
Firstly, lets make it clear that i do understand you are meant to stop when she points the gun at you, and then click on the hotspot to interact with her. I have completed episode 2 once already.

However, when doing a second run through, i open the door and start to walk towards her. She raises the gun and i let go of the w key (pc) but lee continues to walk forward without me pressing anything. This makes it impossible for me to complete the episode. Thanks and hope someone can provide help or tell me when a patch is being released.

sometimes in other sections the game registers movement with out having the button pressed like if you find a hotspot and click lee will go to minimum range.

Wow, this is the first i noticed someone using the keyboard having this issue.

I personally have never experienced this on many many replays of EP2 on my pc, So i'll take some "stabs in the dark" of what i would try.

1: try tapping the W key to walk FWD inch by inch instead of holding it down.
2: If you have any controllers plugged into a USB port , I would unplug them.

Nah you see the w key doesn't move him forward without me pressing normally. So like i will tap w, he will edge forward then stop. repeat etc. But when she says stop, i let go of w, but suddenly he moves forwards without me doing anything. So its not the keyboard lol

i just re did it brenda and at no point for me does lee move with out me pressing so

maybe it IS you keyboard... which model type is it ? and how old do you have macros active ?

ive done it before literally the other day. And it only happens then. like he doesn't move forward unless i tell him to at any other points. So it is a glitch im sure. its a razor gaming keyboard.

On my pc, i can use WSAD or the arrow keys for movement.
Maybe try using the arrow keys instead and see what happens.

According to the other threads on this very "glitch" , it seems nobody has nailed down why it happens on some play-thru's and not others on the same system and version of the game, and even off of the same loaded save slot.

So i dont know if it may be a "combo" of actions/choices that cause this or what.
I actually kinda wish I had experienced this glitch, so i could see for myself.

Maybe try choosing a different answer when approaching the house and Brenda asks who it is. ( i know, i'm reaching a bit with this, but reading the other threads, i'd try anything at this point if it were me)

Just read something interesting doing a google search.

Someone claims it happens to him only if he uses the minimal interface, but if he uses the full interface it doesn't glitch.

Now i only remember being able to select which one to use at the start of EP1.
But i'm guessing under options/gameplay and turning all those options on does the same thing. (its worth a shot anyway)

ProTip: Telling her "Put the gun down, @#%^&;!" isnt the best way to start off the convo.
(I thought since I scared her at the screen door, might as well go for the gusto)

no good, tried rewinding and doing different options and no luck. I actually did the same options as my first one in terms of what i said to her when coming up to the house. Also turning all the settings on doesnt work for me. I will keep trying different things but it doesnt look hopeful. Guess one playthrough will have to do lol.

as for the conversation ALWAYS pick the top/first option..

common sense imo ... you don't piss of the crazy lady pointing a gun at you...
