Won't Launch -- Tried Everything So Far?
Hello everyone,
I registered to these forums in hopes that I will be able to play this game soon.. I just purchased it, browsed the web to try to figure out a fix to my issue, and still nothing
Everytime I try to run the walking dead, it tells me:
"Could not initialize Direct 3D. Make sure you have current video drivers and close any other applications that might be running. You will need a video card that supports at least pixel shader version 1.2."
After clicking "OK".. it says:
"Unfortunately, this error cannot be recovered."
I have tried running as administrator, in windows XP/ME, disabled desktop.. everything. I even ensured I have the most recent drivers/direct x software (which i absolutely do). My computer can't be the issue, as it is a very high end desktop.. I run everything new on max settings and it is farily modern.
Can anyone assist? Anyone else have this issue? Thank you.

Are your drivers up to date?
My video card is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570
Yes, my graphics are up to date (per the legit NVIDIA website).
try updating your direct x which may be seperate from the graphics driver
