just bougth the game, what's this unlock thing?

Just bought the game through steam and now, when launched, I get a popup that reads: To unlock your game, log in with your TellTale user name (or e-mail address) and password. For help visit www.telltalegames.com/support.

So, I come here and created a user name and password thinking this is just a marketing catch or a progress tracker, but no, you want me to buy the game again?!!!

Can someone post a sticky for this? I'm confused.

**NOTE - There was no serial number popup when I launched the game to paste in this unlock crap window as suggested in the telltale support page. what is this a double charge?!!!!!

TellTale, tell me how to make the game start or give me a refund!!!!

    Rightclick the game from your library -> View game CD key.

    when i bought it on steam, i got no popups or serial code, the game just worked, could be a steam problem?

    there is no "view cd key" like some of my other game (I looked for this already) on the list, just the normal play game ~through~ properties.. leme restart steam.

    Well it's obviously on your end, I have never experienced that neither have I heard or read about it.
    Post a screenshot of the exact errormessage you get please.

    there is no cd key part to mine, its like steam made you download the wrong version, not the steam version

    It made me unlock the game but I used my email a suser name and the password it made me create for my "user account" on tellgames

    on steam? i bought it not on sale £20 at episode 2, and all i did was download it, i completed it twice before i even made an account for these forums
