Do you think Kenny and Lee will live.. or die?

edited December 2012 in The Walking Dead
I don't think about Kenny, he could technically be a secondary protagonist... The only thing I have against their family is Duck.

Lee is the main protagonist, so I dont think he will die, and Lee is like the perfect protagonist, a murderer who is basically taken a little girl because of her parents apparent death.

So ya, do you think they will make it to the end of Episode 5 or on a darker note, will them, along with anyone still in the group die, then the game ends?

I think they will both live. Maybe Kenny dies in the second season.

It depends how "in the spirit" of Walking Dead the writers for the game feel. The only character in the Walking Dead universe with any sort of plot armor is Rick Grimes, which isn't guaranteed when his arc is finished. Eventually, everyone will turn into a zombie since death is inevitable.

I think it's unlikely Lee Everett will survive because of how unforgiving TWD usually is and because it ties up loose ends.

Both of them will eventually die. Kenny might die this season while Lee dies in the second.

I think Kenny will die late this season, maybe episode 5. Lee and Clem arent going to die. I just would lost respect for the game if that happened, even if telltale set it up to be a great plot twist or good ending somehow.

Why are you talking about a second season when the first ones not even close to done?!? Stop being silly. And on the subject I don't know. I hope lee won't die, but he might have to kill Kenny when he tries to feed Clem to the walkers to save Katjaa or something like that.

Probably because TT announced that they would be doing another season.

Well still, completely silly since you have no idea how episode one is going to end and in what kind of state Lee and his group are going to be at the end of it all. All you can do on season two is baseless speculation and that's the worst kind of speculation.

We might not get top see kenny the players might see Kenny take off on his boat and assume he got to safety when a hurricane actually smashed it a week later

I'm down for a Kenny death.

And then add another woman to the group. Lee can have a little harem going.

I think lee will live and end up in the hospital that rick wakes up in. Never meet rick but coming oh so close.

i say they kill off kenny in ep5 but in his death gargles tells lee about the boat being bullshit..

i say he dies either way a heroic end if you are 'loyal' to kenny or if he hates lee, he gets bit and begs you to end it... lilly obliges his wish then leaves the group..

Kenny COULD be bacon in one of the upcoming episodes

Avid comic readers will know no main character is safe, especially one of the more recent deaths:
    Glen.

So everyone is to be considered bacon until proven sufficiently likeable (I E clem)

i would be reasonably happy if i save a family (kenny,Katjaa and duck) and Clementine, while they sail off into the sunset, even if i am left on shore slowly turning into a zombie

I'm pretty sure the family isn't getting on that boat intact. Happiest ending I think is realistic is Clem getting out alive in 40% of the endings.

yeah, im not gonna bet money on my hopes, but i like kenny and i think that is his ultimate plan, so it's mine as well, also living in a boat is one of my personal zombie apocalypse plans

Lee has to make it at LEAST to the end of this season. The whole game is built around his character as the playable protagonist.

Everyone else is fair game. I think that Kenny will be around a lot longer than most people think.

I hope Kenny dies, but considering how "Family First" he is... it might only happen if you aren't bros with him. I expect Lee to die, and if you're good with Kenny he dies trying to save you. Where as, if you weren't on good terms with him he'll flee to live a few more days. Clementine's fate will depend on how you raise her. (Seems logical, considering how much focus the Lee/Clem relationship has.)
Who knows about the rest though, I can't really tell. Carly/Doug will probably die, the new girl that'll be coming in episode 3... IDK yet, will have to wait for my verdict on what will happen to her. Katjaa and/or Duck MIGHT live if Kenny lives, I suspect to have to make a Choice between the two of them BEFORE episode 5. (But that, duck vs katjaa choice, I'll admit, is probably wishful thinking on my part.) Ben, well IDK yet but he probably won't make it... He'll probably die in episode 4, or have a chance to die.

Lilly is really the only Character with a Guaranteed free pass. This IS the Comic book Universe, and she DOES have to be alive to
    Kill Lori

    EDIT:
To be honest, I think all of these "pointless choices that don't really matter" we're making now will be what decides who lives and who dies in Episode 5.

No one is safe from death, even Glenn got the axe(or bat) in the comic, and he's everyone's favorite.

    Welcome to my nightmare.

Kenny is a bro. Lee and Doug have Guy Love. I honestly don't know what I would pick. I seriously think I would quit the game for a bit. Same as if in episode 5, if I have to pick between Clem and the group.

Kenny thinks Clementine is infected and plans on killing her then Duck shoots Kenny to Protect Clementine.

Would that be Kirkman Level tragedy?

considering how the game caters to choices i think its all will depend on what the players decisions are throughout the course of the series on who lives and who dies.

what if the game has a "golden ending" for following only certain decision paths.

    The Golden Ending unlocks achievement
    Fools Gold
. It can only be acquired by choosing along a line of specific dialogue choices, actions, and item obtaining. (Ex: Choose to say the correct things to the correct people, save the right people, and pick up the candy bars/etc in the right order.) At the end, all of the characters in your group you thought died show up on Kenny's boat, which transforms into a massive cruiser with enough supplies to last you 200 years. It even has a Cake
but it's all a lie, as you cut a few years ahead, when your group is just off shore of Japan, a load roar is heard and the entire boat, along with its crew, is obliterated in the cross fire of a Godzilla vs Ghidorah fight.

What really happens in the golden ending. Lee is abandoned with Clem and Carley. Kenny and his family and Ben are on the boat. Lee Clem and Carley think it's the end as Walkers surrounded them then they hear
    WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH
A Blue Police Booth appears and a strange man opens the door and says hurry up and get inside. Then the three rush inside and the door closes and the Phone booth vanishes with the Strange man saying "Next Stop, Everywhere."

The bad guys win, also that's not Godzilla it's Mecha Godzilla. Godzilla comes later to save the day and make a new, titan sized TARDIS, which he uses to fulfill the Doctors role in the universe after his untimely Death Death, in which the Doctor's killed of for real.

    His name is
"Dave Octavius Cthulhu Tarquin Ozora Rogers Wright Hauke Oliver" and "the fields of Trenzalore" is actually code for "the pacific ocean, somewhere near the coast of Japan". The Doctor says his name to Lee, who when the Doctor refuses to tell his actual name, then gives him Hershels Speel on names. Also, he figures "TARDIS is about to be eaten, might as well, besides we're not in the Fields of Trenzalore." oh, the irony.

I actually like Kenny, I wish there was more I could do to help him understand that I'm not always against him. Would be helpful if he was a bit more level headed and understood that not everyone put the interests of his family above those the entire group. (Would equally be helpful for Lilley and some others to understand that Kenny's just trying to do what he thinks is best).

On to my opinion now that I've enjoyed Demopan's spoilers. I think there's a good chance of having to choose between CarleyDoug or Katjaa and or duck. It would be a tough choice to keep Kenny's loyalty, or save your friend. I definitly think they are going to keep Kenny in the game until the very end, and then either let him live or even make Lee kill him off for whatever reason.

I think Lee will probably survive to go on to the next season with Clem. A lot of you seem to think Clem is going to die if you don't raise her to be a survivalist, but I think we will see our interactions with her play out in different, less narrative altering ways. If TTG is up to that, or just planning on starting with completely new characters next season I welcome either way!
