There is a new zombie mmo PC game coming out in the near future which looks a lot like the Armor 2 mod game but with some big differences like being able to form clans, having safe zones, etc. It's scheduled for Beta testing in the fall and I just signed for it. It looks very promising.

    Sounds like a Day Z rip off. Looks interesting though.

    Im looking forward to it, but I wont lie, I am a bit worried of the outcome.

    Being able to buy your way out of a zombie bite in Hardcore mode? I see absolutely no way that this can imbalance anything.

    Also, loving the midriff bearing female in the screenie. Totally viable survival strategy in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

    haven't they got that backwards a harder mode gives you better options ??

    whats easy mode going to be like ?

    The interview states the following:
    Interview page 3 wrote:
    At start you can create up to five survivors. When you create your survivor, you will select how you want to play the game – in Normal or Hardcore mode. Normal Mode means that once killed your survivor and his personal inventory (backpack) will be unavailable (i.e. locked out) for a certain period of time. Hardcore mode means permadeath -- all of your experience, score, inventory, etc will be lost.

    but having a 'lock out' ? seems an odd penalty for dying yes it would make the whole get better/heal thing realistic but if the normal mode has other players who can loot your stuff certain levels are going to get raped by 'assholes'

    Actually beta testing is scheduled for late summer. It's due for release in the fall. Signed up for it too.

    How can it be a day z rip off? It was in development before day z's alpha release.

    I kind of feel that an ongoing/continuing zombie apocalypse game would be a lot like those pocket tomagochi things that were a fad in the 90's (mine kept dying... then the batteries died and it finally rested in pieces when I couldn't successfully put it back together again).

    We have smart phones now. How hard could it be to have a phone app that periodically buzzed you with tasks to "do."

    But that doesn't really sound fun. More like a second job.

    Don't know how I got that wrong. :confused: Maybe read through it too fast but its all for the better if we can get it in the fall. :D

    Perhaps if enough of us here join up and enjoy it, maybe we can form our own group.

    Im all for that, personally I am looking more towards the Hardcore mode though, after all the strong will survive and the weak will be picked off one by one and drug to the barn :D

    heh yeah right at the end of the article.

    "Sergey Titov: We’re running an internal alpha test right now and expect that we’ll make closed beta available later this summer to selected players that sign up on our website now and to all users that pre-order the game."

    I would join a group, but I will probably be grouped with guildies. Just have to wait and see how many are interested in it, but a lot of us were playing day z.
