The Non-Pretentious Animated Short Films Thread

edited July 2012 in General Chat
We discussed animated short films a while ago in the Whatever thread, but there really is a good enough wealth of unique and interesting animated films that they really warrant their own place to hang out and be discussed.

One I saw recently is the Ballad of Poisionberry Pete- a Western done with... pie. Delicious delicious pie.

I have a soft spot for short cartoons. I really wish Disney would make a new theatrical short from their canon of short film "stars". They were supposed to bring back the shorts program, but the 2007 Goofy short How to Hook Up Your Home Theater (which is wonderful by the way) was the only thing to come from it. I'd really love a new Humphrey short. Or a new Oswald short. I was tempted to make a new Oswald cartoon myself since Oswald's earliest cartoons are in the public domain and Disney abandoned the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit trademark. Then I thought better of it, as I don't want to face the wrath of the Disney corporation.
