Decision tracking to determine comic storyline?

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
After seeing what percentage of players made what decisions, it got me thinking, based on the most common decisions made by players, you think that whatever characters survive to the end of the game will make an appearance in the comic, and perhaps subsequently the TV show?

Let's see if anyone survives first. Then we'll give Kirkman a chance to kill the rest.

Speaking of which, is the "decision tracker" tracking every single playthrough of each player or just their first one? I assume it's tracking any playthrough since I believe to have noticed the percentages change from time to time.

That would of course mean that the results become pretty distorted after a new episode has been online for some weeks, given the players time for several run throughs and trying out other decision branches than their first..

doubt it, canon is canon whether or not it's popular

of course, say there's a character in this game who cannot die- they may appear in the comics
but like that's going to happen :3

    yeah it has..
    lilly who kills the guvna
glenn (to a point) who gets an axe ?

but if you mean a game character who isn't in the comic 'yet'

gotta be clem or lee or both of em

i think the stats are about every playthrough (correct me if I'm wrong), so they dont accurately represent how people actually played the game, but even when i did multiple playthroughs there are some things i always did like feeding Clementine, so some things that have an overwhelming amount of people choosing a certain thing to do would give good indications on how people play the game.

but i bet the stats will change as more episodes come out, like if doug uses his geek skills and does something epic he will probably have more people save him, but at the moment people just see a plump guy or a fit girl with a gun, so i can understand why people save her ,even though i figure anyone can fire a gun but not everyone will memorise codes for remote controls so he seemed to have more potential to me, but i could be wrong.

If the characters would be in the comic, it would be something like this:

Kirkman: Let's just include these random characters that people loved in the video game and aimlessly kill them them off for no reason.

or have them come in as walkers and get killed by rick in the most gruesome way possible
