(PC+TV) Can't change resolution

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
I'm having bit of a problem with the game's resolution. It defaults to 1024x728 (not my desktop resolution, btw), which leaves black bars on all the borders. But when I try to change the resolution to 1920x1080, my TV takes a while to adjust and I can't see the picture until the 10 second wait time for the confirm dialog expires.

So, is there any other way to change the game's resolution?

other than windows/gpu software and the game it's self ?

    options, settings, video, resolution...

As I stated above, the whole issue is that I can't change the resolution in the game itself due to the timer on the confirm dialog. As far as I know, I can't change a specific application resolution from windows, and the game doesn't default to the desktop resolution.

Really odd.. Works fine on my tv. Sounds like something is weird with your tv or drivers as it should not take that long for it to sync when you change resolution.

my bad arzi windows should give you an option for display settings, some games auto detect desktop resolution and use that but i know bttf and twd don't lol

i don't see a timer on my game settings page.

but i know from past experience if your gpu card is below the games minimum/recommended spec your going to have issues plus if it's an old card with old drivers..or not sufficient memory it will be slow

so check your spec of your pc is up to snuff. are we to assume your using an actual tv not a 'monitor'

So your TV accepts the 1920x1080 but the confirm settings thing expires and reverts before your TV adjusts?

If this is the case, try opening it in a window when your tv is already in 1080 mode on the desktop then change the in-game resolution then go fullscreen

if it wont let you set it to 1080 from a window and your problem persists, you may have to go one setting down and settle for 1280x720 or 1680x1050 or whatever, the game will still be beautiful
