Would this be Interesting? (Comic and Game Spoilers)

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
If Lee somehow got involved in the comic at some point, maybe becoming Rick's new #2 now that Abraham is gone? I don't know, what do you guys think. I know Kirkman has said he's had the story plotted out for quite some time, but what would you guys think if you saw Lee make an appearance in the comic, maybe with Clem too?

Would be interesting, but not to be major character, maybe some minor appearance

God I hope not. I would like the game characters just exclusive to the games, thank you. It'd be like this:

Kirkman: Let's pointlessly kill Lee and Clem in this month's issue to add drama lol!

Yeah, I find it pretty hard to read the comic and develop characters I love because I know they're all going to die. It's a pretty apathetic read for me, the only character I care about being Rick because he's guaranteed to be around for a while.

That implies they will survive the game ;)

you can have the comics come into the game, since that part of they're "life" is over, but to place past characters into the future ruins the ending. Example Glen whatever he does in the game does not affect his future, but may explain some choices, hell we may see events leading to Lily's....big...thing...she did, but that doesn't change what she did or will do. But to see Lee or a game exclusive character in the comic would instantly make all your decisions without consequence.

Now if the game series ends then yes I'd love to see them come into the comics hell maybe Kirkman might do a "Jason Todd" thing to touch base with the whole choice aspect of the game with characters coming into the series. Or so I wish.

Yea just like Hershel's son, during my 1st run there was less than 25% of players chose to save him over Duck.

(I didn't read the comics at that point, so I didn't know his "bigger role" in the comics)

After playing the game I decided to read a couple (actually not a couple but a lot) of the issues of the comic.. couldn't help to think people are like "Oh he's going to be taking that role in the comic anyways, why bother saving him" thus the result I saw.

Same applies to Lee or Clem here, wouldn't be nice if they appear in the comic before this game ends, or having characters in the game with players knowing "He/She will appear in issue XXX anyways"

:spoil-o:Lilly is fine as long as we don't know what she's gonna react according to how we treat her, unlike Shawn's situation:spoil-o:

maybe if Kenny, Ben, or any of the new survivors live then they manage to make an appearance passing through or joining the group. Similar to how Daryl and Merle Dixon are going to make an appearence(except the game is canon while the TV show isn't)

The next novel, the Road to Woodbury, will probably tell us more about Lilly. Will Lilly talk about her time with the game group?
