The Walking Dead: Episode 2 not saving?

Hi there. I purchased the Walking Dead during the Steam Summer Sale, and I played through Episode 1 just fine. However, I did encounter a problem with my choices not carrying over to Episode 2. I used the fix described in this forum post, and it worked: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2780190. The only problem is now my Episode 2 will start up with my choices from Episode 1, but it won't save. In fact, it acts as if I still haven't started Episode 2. Please help!

I have the same issue, except it's for Mac. Does anybody know if there will be an immediate fix when episode 3 comes out?

This worked for me on Windows 7. I tried to post it on Steam but the admins won't accept my account until some arbitrary time passes, so someone please post this there if it works for them so my frustration at seeing this problem go unresolved stops.
