Gonna Be A Loooong Episode[?]

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
There seems to be so many things in this Episode, that it seems like 2 episodes full of events, (considering the length of last episodes)

Excited. :)

    Who is?

There are alot of people who percieve the length of the episode for why it hasn't been released, so them, but I think its the publication on the consoles/steam

Yep,seems a lot of stuff will be happening in the episode.
Honestly I would be very glad if it was a little longer,it would be an awesome surprise! :D

Lets hope so.. 2 episodes and nearly 4 months wait time. I'd say we deserve more than a 2 hour episode on this one.
  • edited August 2012
this episode should last an hour per day the game was delayed aka about 80-100 hours

All episodes are about the same length, guys! Two felt a little longer and maybe 3 will too or 4, but there aren't any surprise double-length specials or anything. 3 does have a lot of stuff happen in it though :)

Thanks for the reply! We know it has previously siad all are about "2 hours". But with this long of a delay in releases, and only 2 episodes to date. Alot of people would like to have a bit "longer" episodes from here on out. Yes that would make the wait even longer, but with only 2 episodes released in nearly 4 months time. We've gotten use to delays. Thats not a crack at the Devs, just stating the facts.

Of course, I understand that! I'm just saying don't get your hopes up for longer run times. There is some awesome stuff coming in 3, 4, and 5, but the games aren't going to be noticeably longer.

i spent more than 2 hours an episode any way and i didn't feel like i was just messing about doing nothing for ages, it took me ages to leave the pharmacy without having the pills, i was just worried larry would die while i was out, but other than that i guess the scenery is just good to wander in

Won't be as long as the wait for the ep.
  • edited August 2012
Same here, after just two episodes, steam has clocked me in at 20 hours played. Not bad, for 2 two hour episodes huh? :)

It doesn't burn you cause you know I'd wait until the real zombie apocalypse for it.

THAT IS NOT AN INVITATION TO TAKE THAT LONG, and no synchronizing the episode release with the season 3 airing is not OKAY even if it does rake in revenue. (Not that it would be bad to do that... and NOT LIKE THAT IS OKAY TO DO EITHER)

There will always people with their hand out, thinking they deserve more. That doesn't mean they're right or that they'll get it.

The length of the episode is really going to depend on your play style. If you talk to everyone and explore the maps thoroughly, you'll be rewarded with more insight and story. Otherwise episode 3 is more-or-less equivalent in length to episode 2. Like Jake said, I feel 3 is very content-rich.

Sadly for you, then, it's coming the 28th for PSN and 29th for Xbox LIVE.

Seriously? Everybody on PC is complaining they have to wait a day longer than the PSN people and you want them to wait until Friday now?

    Yep, sucks to be you!

then go up the to the porch/house look for the storage box on the right then cut up some wood on furthest point to the left or behind the generator.

Yup that's one of the things that stood out more for me. We're gonna be more mobile. A car ride, a train ride, some walking in open streets, including a Pharmacy revisit. Of how much will be explorable outside of cutscenes will be anyones guess. We may not even see a "hub" where objectives branch out from like the Pharmacy or Dairy Farm (but if I'd have to guess the train will make numerous stops).

Oh and Clementine with a gun. Perhaps it's just limited models but it looks unmistakenly like Carleys glock. How does Clem get it? Will it be regardless of a living/undead Carley? Will we see Carley/Doug make it to the next episode or will they die/play a minor role again so that the devs arn't spending development time on two characters for the price of one?

    Time will tell.
