Just finished Episode 2...

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
Hi all,

I just finished episode 2 in preparation for episode 3's upcoming release. (PC: Steam.)

However, after I closed the game and came back to it shortly afterwards, when I go into save select I can only see an Episode 1 save file (My file/time from my completion of episode 1 - the one I loaded to complete episode 2 on.)

When I load this file and go to Episode 2 on the chapter select, there is no "Continue" option or any statistics screen or "Rewind" option. I fully completed Episode 2, and took a screenshot of my statistics screen at the end. (I completed Episode 2 in one sitting, if that makes any difference.)

Anyone know what might be happening here?

Thanks for any help.

when did you quit or did you let the credits roll ?

maybe a bug others have reported it.

Finished the credits completely until it went back to the main menu, double checked my save file was there and everything was fine.

It's after I came back to the game I noticed it had reverted to the episode 1 save file. I've tried running it normally and as admin, to no avail.

As useful as that post is, I'd appreciate it if anyone knew of this happening and/or if there is a fix for it.
I have all the save files in my C:/Documents/TTG/TWD, so the saves do still exist it just looks like the game isn't recognising they are there.

sorry couldn't resist it, it's a bug man just restart on a fresh save slot /delete the files/ try again if it happens again it's a bug.

Restart and put in another 4-6 hours doing the exact same thing when the save files are there in the folder...

Pretty sure it's clearly a bug, otherwise I wouldn't be asking for fixes; don't need to waste more time playing through on the off-chance it won't happen.

Again, if anyone has had/heard of this happening and has a fix it would be greatly appreciated.

As useful as that unattended support forum is, I'm bumping this in a likely futile attempt for recognition from TTG and/or someone who may have fixed this problem themselves.
