Comic & Novel Canon Questions about Lilly and Larry...

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
New to the forums. Had to register to ask this question as it's been bothering me for awhile.

With the new novel "Road to Woodbury" coming out explaining Lilly's journey to Woodbury. Her father's name is Everett Ray Caul and died during the early stages of the zombie outbreak. Why was his name changed to Larry for this game? And since the novel is coming out. Does that mean she will leave at the end of season 1, and that's where the novel will start?

just because we think she is Lily from the comics doesn't mean she is, nor has the book come out Nor has the last name Caul ever been mentioned. Plus even Robert kirkman has sat with the team. doubt he'd let them mess up a character he is gonna use for his book. wait and answers will be revealed. and then maybe I'll have to choke on my own words:p

From The Walking Dead FAQs on this site:
"Q: Is this game based on the comic books or the TV show?
A: We see the comic books as canon."

That doesn't mean the game is cannon. That means the game is based on the comic books as its cannon; as opposed to the show being the cannon used in influencing the game which is why Hershel looks like Hershel from the comic not the show. It doesn't mean that stuff from the comics will be influenced by the game, just the other way around so there is room for the game to be different.

I'm not saying it is, just that the way English works that doesn't mean everything in the game is cannon.
