My god that teacher is the dumbest person in the game so far.

How the hell did he not see a giant bear trap in the middle of the woods not hidden or anything, it wasn't hidden in tall grass or even a bush or something, how did he not see that from a distance? For that matter how did Travis and Ben not see it either?

Perhaps they were watching out for walkers or the bandits, and were scanning the distant woods. How would they know there would be a bigass bear trap just waiting for them?

Or how about "Try the trap again, dont cut my leg!" when its obvious the trap isn't going to open? I Seriously sat there trying to pry the trap open and left him because of that, :P For a teacher he wasn't very perceptive but I guess that could have just been because of the massive pain he was experiencing.

hell maybe it was hidden in brush you just dont know sure it wasnt hiddeb in brush when we see it but that doesnt mean it wasnt before it was disturbed its a game and its fiction the player/viewer has to use their own imagination at times fact.

erm they were probably running away from the bandits...

I can understand the "Try the trap again" bit. I can see, with the amount of pain he was in and the panic that set in, why he didn't want to lose his leg.

What I don't understand is, why didn't they just hit the chain from around the tree? It was wrapped around the trunk and probably had a lock on the backside (Since I doubt the St. Johns' would weld it together on there). That, or why not just shoot the chain? Seriously? :/

And you think the woman in the beginning of e 3 is smarter? She has been alive for several months after the ZA started she runs in the middle of the street, screaming and running in circles. I was shockingly stupid. I let her die b/c she was that dumb.

Wow, some of these posts are pretty harsh guys. For one thing, there's a good possibility that the trap was better hidden before the guy stepped in it. Plus, they probably weren't looking for bear traps that might just happen to be laying around. Not to mention that they were probably focusing on getting away from other bad stuff.

As for asking Lee to try the trap again, what do you want from the poor guy? Yeah, he's a teacher, but he's still human. Let's see how you react to someone saying they're going to chop off your leg with an axe. Then we'll talk.

You can actually try cutting the chain. Mark tells you that it's the kind of chain they use on the air force base to move ordnance and that there's no way you'll be able to cut through it with an axe.

Actually I think Travis was a bit dumber, as after cutting David's leg off, he runs away from the group and gets cornered against a rock by walkers and eaten. He really could have made it if he had his wits about him, but oh well. It doesn't seem like anyone else is going to make it through this game anyways if EP3 is any indication.
