EVIL Carley or Doug (spoilers)

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
(If you have not played episode 3 yet do not read this)

Ok by now we all know there dead

but what if they our not?

What if in the second season they live and this time they not good but evil. We assume they dead but people have survived gunshots to the head(Carley) and have even been known to walk around because the bullet did not damage no vital areas. The same can be said for a bullet to the stomach like Doug.

So could you see them in second season as evil characters? seeking revenge because you left them?

    I can't see it personally.

Why would the seek revenge on Lee and the group when it was Lilly who shot them and they're gone anyway?

    Well in

Carleys case: She would wake up like wtf because she got side blinded. I could see a brain injury victim only remember that argument and then nobody is around. She would be like wtf!!!!

Dougs case: He would know they left if he woke up and he a tech guy he might even be smart enough to patch himself up. Remember how he talked about chalk???

Ugh this would be awful, sorry. They should stay dead. It was a shocking and bleak death that seems fitting considering what has been happening to the survivors.

  • edited August 2012

All I have to say is if Carley comes back, after catching a lead round in the face, I may have to switch sides. D:< I mean, come on, that ain't natural. :P As for Doug, I don't know. I had a skip in the scene on mine, and it looked like he caught it in the back/upper torso area. >_> Oh well, too lazy to replay to see. :D

I predict Doug will come back from the dead, he'll turn evil because he's motivated by revenge and he'll form a group of survivors that he found at a hospital and he'll lead them as they commit atrocities together. During a decisive battle with a group of religious fanatic (but peaceful) survivors, Doug's face is heavily burned and so he covers his entire head in bandages as he continues to hunt down Lee. Doug finally corner's Lee at a derelict room in the hospital and almost kills Lee, but Lee wins because Clem is able to sneak up on Doug from behind and deal a crippling blow so that Lee can finish him off.

Clem later takes Lee back to where they met and Lee dies from his injuries, the end.

This is a zombie apocalypse. If either of them come back, it won't be as survivors.

I'd be ok with Doug/Carley coming back as a villain next season... though... Doug doesn't seem the type. I could image Carley being pissed though.

Guys, Nicole Vigil confirmed on her Facebook fan page that Carley is dead in episode 3. Which probably means she won't be coming back.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Now I'm mad. Comics are comics, sure. But you're citing superhero comics in a Walking Dead argument. Nothing supernatural (save for the zombies themselves) has ever happened in Walking Dead. No one has ever returned from death here. Kirkman pulls that in Invincible, but he knows to keep the genres separate.
  • edited September 2012
No kidding, the walking dead isn't the super-heroic genre.

It's the, you're screwed during a ZA genre.

You might survive a horrid injury..... with parts missing at that... but there's only one way to come back from the dead...

Sorry Master its still a comic book lol

Yes Kirkman so far has not pulled the they alive card yet.... but to say it wont ever happen?

Ok like for example when Tyrese was trap in a room with 25 zombies the group locking the door behind him. Ending that comic issue with the idea he is definatly dead until next issue they open the door and he laying on a pile of 25 dead zombies Now is that Realistic???? No its not

But ill do you one better which is real life there is a story i read about a African American soilder during world war 2 who watched the nazis shot his comrade. They said he snap out and ran into the Germans with his knife sceaming like an animale and killing two soilders cuting ones head off and holding it out front of them. They called him a screaming demon and ran away. So what im trying to say here is you have Tyrese trap in a room with 25 zombies and this man in real life holding a head who could have been shoot. But instead he scared away the enemy both storys our possible but only one is real

I'll give you those as both extreme examples of human perseverance. I find neither example supernatural though. They're within the bounds of our ability, but people don't do them because they're never pushed to. Tyreese was in peak form and a fine human specimen who killed two dozen zombies or more. Rick and Michonne later do the same thing with a horde.

I don't disagree with your points, they're both excellent examples although one is fake. But neither involves spontaneous healing, ressurection or miracles. Superhero comics are based around magical twists and illogical revelations. I still don't see that ever happening in The Walking Dead.

I dont disagree with you your right Kirkman has not went that route yet. Im just saying its possible in the comic book world.

Sure. I can't imagine he'll keep a realistic tone forever. Especially after the dream sequence where they were all superpowered.
