[Spoilers] Is Christa...

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
One of the bandits? When you go to play with Doug, Doug shoots one of the bandits and you have two bandits to shoot. When you play with Carley, Carley takes out two of them and there's only one left before she runs out of bullets. This last bandit always lives.

In both instances when you go to shoot the last bandit, it gets away over the fence even if you peg a bullet in their ass. There's really no purpose to foreshadowing this bandit or making it invulnerable to a well timed shot if its a nobody because all other shots function; even 'choices' that are argued to not matter are rewarded with a kill if pressed. This aspect is not rewarded, its plot armored. Nobodies don't get plot armor.

"She" is seemingly lacking a rack, but we've had this argument before in these threads when it concerns Christa, and furthermore this person had a different, thicker jacket on at the time and bigger jackets hide forms better. But the skin tone is identical, the little side-burns and eyebrows are the same, the face is kind of feminine/matching although its only the side, and there's that little mark on the back of her neck I thought I saw before but need to replay again.

There's also the emphasis that they repeated again and again that survival = a small group. Why would we care and why insist they've always been alone? Or maybe they learned that same lesson recently themselves.

The only aspect of this that makes me uncertain would be the fact that you take an RV and go around for awhile, and then eventually a train. That's some distance since the events which discredits the idea a bit. On the other hand, there were a lot of detours and a lot of aimlessness leading up to the train. Time was not tracked particularly well, heck, night and another day passed by with Lee sleeping.

I think that last bandit is invulnerable solely so they can whistle off and signal the rest of the bandits to attack.

o_O Gunshots and their buddies never coming out isn't enough of a signal?

With Doug not Carley you can shoot either of the other two bandits first. I capped the one you are saying might be her in the head then the other (clearly a guy) in the butt. so both of those bandits can die, it's just one or the other.

Well, the scene very deliberately shows the guy crawling out and whistling.

It's an interesting theory, but how were they tracking them after they left in the RV, then switched over to a train? They'd need some special ATVs just to keep up, not to mention be able to get ahead and on the bridge as the train arrives.

i think if chris was with the bandits, she would had recognized us and would had been more agitated, paranoid, against us. i think their initial reaction to seeing lees camp would had been more alerted or defensive given our last run in with the bandits, if she was one of them.

i would had thought it possible if they wore save lots jerseys or carried a cross bow. i dont see how they could had kept up with us on the train either. i dont quite trust her yet, but i dont think she or odis (is that his name?) are/were bandits

Why do people keep trying to tie stuff in with the bandits and St. Johns? That shit's in the past and miles behind.
  • edited August 2012
I don't see why you can dismiss it so easily. You really think that person who crawled over had the singular purpose of giving a signal? I don't know if it was bad graphics or not but you go ahead and try to whistle while breathing incredibly heavy.

He's talking about the one that you supposedly capped in the butt.(Which you didn't, because I shot that fuck as soon as I could and didn't clip anything) And no, that one wasn't "clearly a guy" I think you need your eyes checked.

I don't think it is possible for them to be bandits. It was never implied how many miles they drove in Kennys RV before stumbling upon the train. And it is never implied how many miles again they travelled by the train until they reached the train station. There is simply no way for bandits to follow them, since they do not have cars or any other means of travel. If they did, they would not dependend on raiding the St. Johns dairy or Motor Inn.

That's a ridiculous thing to say. What if they had the same mentality as Lilly?

You're right! The bandits could've been affected by a different strain of virus that caused them to grow wings and fly. It's possible...

See what I did there? I justified my ludicrous theory with another ludicrous theory just like you

I think if you all caps it, you win the argument. She's a bandit, Larry's pills were the zombie cure and Duck actually WAS Robin.

That bandit that hopped over the fence probably only gave the signal cause his buddies were dead. I don't think they expected much trouble from a group that was smaller, weaker, lighter armed, and taken by surprise in such a fashion. Hell, they captured everybody who was outside without firing a shot. And I don't think it's likely that Christa was that bandit because that guy had a bullet in him and Christa was walking fine. One week later and Kenny is still in pain from his wound, but about two days later I don't think he could recover from that so quickly. Plus you have the fact that walkers swarmed the motor inn about a minute, maybe less, after the firing started. While the bullet in his rear end probably didn't end him, one (or more) of the attacking walkers probably did him in.

There is no way in absolute hell that Christa is the bandit. Not only to track the entire RV ride with some form of transportation and not being noticed but also the train ride and than just happen to be walking by at the time of the accident.

Christa is Pregnant. I'm calling it now. Assuming she doesn't have a miscarriage before episode 4 It's what her and Omid were talking about why they need a group of men and being excited to see kids.

That was exactly my initial thought too. I've seen alot of comments regarding what Omid said about being excited to see a kid as being creepy, but I never saw it that way. Taking the conversation between christa and Omid into account, the pregnancy theory seems alot more likely. They're excited to see a kid alive in these horrible conditions and to see some able bodies that can help protect them if needed.

When you have Doug, he shoots one bandit in the head. You then have the option to shoot either one of the two that are left. THEY CAN BOTH DIE. I have played it more than once, shot and killed both of them at least once. BUT you can only kill one, the other gets away... Either CAN die, but only one. SO no, neither one can be her because either one can be dead.

I called it pretty much when I heard their conversation, just like the others before me, she's probably pregnant. That explains why they're so happy to see kid alive. But something that disturbs me...why does Chuck have candy with him?

If it comes to term before episode 5, it'll be the first successful birth in Walking Dead. (But it won't.)

You mean in the entire canon or just in the game? Because in the comic, people do successfully give birth.

Oh right. I forgot she was born.
Sort of hard to keep track of what went well in that short lifespan.
