EP 3 start up train BUG

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
Hi forum,

I have a bug. When I try to start up the train on console it won't allow me to move my cursor to the very right switch .... there is some kind of invisible barrier.

Please see the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiAB1k3eK2A&feature=plcp

I have tried to rewind to the last saved checkpoint but it didn't help.

Did anybody experience that?

Now I have this :

I've gotten the startup done but now I can't get "un-stuck". Also the chuck scene is repeating itself whenever I re-enter the boxcar!

EDIT: Eh. After a restart, everything seems to be fine. I'm thinking the game prefers it if you did the steps in a precise order.

I've had to reboot episode three numerous times in many different parts of the story. Sometimes Lee just disappeared off the screen. Other times the camera just went haywire and fell under the level. Ive had to reboot about ten times so far for any number of reasons. I'm playing it on ps3 and after the problems episode 2 had on release day this is just icing on the cake. So insanely frustrating when you're actually getting involved in the story and a loading screen pops up, frame rate skips or game just crashes. Makes it very difficult to finish this episode

I've been having the same issue. As soon as the Katya scene begins ("Lee, I need you, my cursor is restricted, so I can't click on the door to get to Kenny.

I've tried rewinding multiple times, tried not touching the cursor during the pan-up sequence, tried moving the cursor during the pan-up sequence, using a keyboard+mouse only, using gamepad only, using gamepad+mouse, updating video drivers, downgrading video drivers, playing in a window, playing full screen, changing mouse sensitivity, changing resolution, rebooting -- all to no effect. The cursor just won't move into the rightmost 1/3 of the screen during that part of episode 3.

For the record, only that section is affected. Episodes 1 and 2 work fine, as do the earlier parts of episode 3 (e.g., if I rewind or load a different save). The mouse in the menus also work fine, even when the in-game portion gets screwed up.

Same fukcing problem here! And Im really pissed because I cant continue with the story. Same like everyone in this thread. cant choose the last switch on the right in the train because the mouse wont go any further.

I dont think so? I really have no interesst in replaying the whole episode 3 up to that point just to realise that it didnt help.

    what do?
I also seem to have problems with my save files. when I start the game I only see a save file from episode 2 from a long time ago. when I load that up i can choose ep3 anyway and land where I left.

Sorry this is happening to you, I play on PC so I can't be of much help. Try reloading the game, and I'm sure telltale will come out with a patch soon.

im going to bump this erry day until I get an answer. I still cant continue to play! Or does somebody know the real support email? This is supposed to be the official support forum right?

I'm having this same problem on my PS3. It's odd because I played on someone else's PS3, and I could get past this point on their save file just fine, so it seems to be very situational.

No. This is general chat. If you know that you should use the support forum why did you post here?

What makes you assume that I know that this isnt the support forum? Never wrote anything like that. Why should I even care anyway? I bought this game and this seems to be the official Forum of Telltale Games. Its a shame nobody from the company takes a look at this place from time to time.

Where is the support forum then? But I guess forum is the wrong way to go. Id like to open a ticket or something like that.

I think they have a support email. I'd help you find it but ain't on a computer. For the support forum, go back to the main forum listing. Support is near the bottom. There are answered ones already, you might find what you're loking for there.
