I'm talking about the thief from the beginning. I was sure it was Kenny until Ben confessed. He was convinced the motel was unsafe and didn't trust Lilly's leadership, so I could see him deciding that the only way to protect his family was to go behind her back and buy off the bandits. Of course, in retrospect I realise that as a scavenger, he'd have the opportunity to get the goods to the bandits before Lilly saw them - but we all know that hindsight's 20-20.

I suspected Kenny, myself. Ben seemed too obvious, being the latest member of the group and the most "outside" of outsiders. In most fiction, you'd peg him, kill him, and find out he was innocent aftewards. They showed that Kenny was hurting from his gunshot wound, when he tries to help Lee up onto the truck the first time, so I was thinking he might be hording pain killers for himself in case he did decide to make a break for it with his family. When they showed the X sign and the pills in the grate, I then wondered if Kenny had made a bargain with the bandits. I didn't realize what was going on until Doug was killed. It fit the genre for him to take a bullet for a guilty man; like Harvey Keitel in Reservoir Dogs.

Like Joe said, Ben was too obvious. So I went for Ben. TWDG is doing some cliche stuff at points so why the hell not? :P

I was suspicious of everyone, including outsiders. It could have been Lilly throwing people on a wild goose chase and was super specific about the items lost. When she said "pretty much anything with opium in it" I thought that someone was stealing supplies to support a drug habit. It could have been Lilly, seeing as how she was under so much stress. I then thought it could have been Katjaa, since she was familiar with drugs. I got suspicious of Carley because of how dodgy she was around the question. However, none of them really showed physical or mental signs of drug withdrawal or abuse... living so close with someone for so long makes it hard to hide it.

After the roadside confrontation... I honestly thought that the bandits were somehow sneaking in, especially after Jolene was able to sneak in and steal the hat.

    Didn't suspect Ben at all...

Yeah, I'll agree, I put my money on Ben at first, but the "It's too obvious" thing played across my mind, too. I actually thought it might have been Lily setting up a frame job, but the scene played out too quickly during the raid, so I kind of swayed back toward Ben with an "I don't know" attitude.

So, I guess I was sort of right. >_>

I had Ben by default. I guess I trusted everyone else to not doing something that terrible. Ben was a stranger and still is in a lot of ways. I haven't been and still am not connected with him.

I'll admit, he got one point with me when he confessed. But he's still a wad.
