[SPOILERS] Episode 3 makes it hard to replay.

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
Well after finishing Episode 3 on my Carley save I couldn't help but think it's a little harder to play the game a second time. Not because it's heart wrenching or anything but more because of how everything played out.

I get that a lot of games have set parts that never change, that'd be crazy to expect the game to be different every time. Especially one like this, it does enough SOMETIMES. But now knowing that even if I replayed as Doug he'd meet the same fate as Carley at the exact same moment as her kind of has me going "Well what would the point be, really?". I know what's gonna happen to him and then the rest of the episode will play out the same.

This isn't me complaining but I just can't see myself playing episode 3 again as not much would've changed. I did watch my mate play his Doug save a tiny bit and I can't say I'd find it worth it like I did #2. Sure number 2 didn't have MANY changes either but it had enough. Am I alone on this feeling? (probably :P)

I agree completely. I want to play my Doug save, but the game will be practically the same. Carley and Doug really brought a difference to each playthrough, it felt like the most significant decision in the whole game, now it's gone.

i can see the reasoning both in why lilly shoots them/ why ttg decided to do it..

but omid and christa weren't worth it yes we have only a a brief moment, but i don;t like them at all..

Yeah I totally agree. I thought it was a good episode but I'm probably not going to replay the episode, it was too sad...

omid and christa really creeped me out with the whole "OMG YOU HAVE A KID, I HAVEN'T SEEN A KID IN AGES" and "IM GOING TO GET TO KNOW CLEMENTINE A BIT MORE" shtick. i swear, if omid turns out to be a freakin' pedophile he's gonna wish he never jumped onto my train. that broken leg is gonna be the least of his worries lol. judging by the trailer, im gonna let him die of that infection if you get that choice.

For me, it was easy to play a second time, it was cool seeing different scenes play out with Doug and Lilly. You could also get some info from Clem when you and her are sitting in the RV.

It was really sad playing again... Part of the TellTale team told me that there are hidden option. Which make me want to play even more.

So many people died in episode 3; Lee, Kenny, and Clem are the only survivors from the original group now. It sort of saddens me. If I had the choice I would have saved Carley in the RV argument situation over Ben any day, but now, they're all dead.

Now, we've got more strangers joining the group (Chuck, Omid and Christa), and I'm not sure what to think of them. Especially after what happened in episode two. I don't want anymore traitors which may compromise the group.
