Will Kenny kill himself?

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
Thats what I thought when he offered to explain the two new group members how to control the train... He said, that somebody should be able to control the train if something happens to him.

I instantly thought that he might plan to kill himself to be together with his wife and child.

What did you think?

Wouldn't surprise me. Characters have a habit of being killed off. What makes Kenny different? :p

Seriously though, with the possible exception of Clem, I think every (game) character has their fate sealed.

I am a firm believer that Kenny has been around long enough to deserve a just ending. That being said, I think that is probably what will happen.
I can easily see him sacrificing himself to save Lee or Clementine. Without his actual family around, he will want to focus his need to protect them on the "family" he has left.

It's been confirmed that Kenny will be in the last 2 episodes so at this stage He'll kill himself or sacrifice himself to help Lee and Clem or he'll survive the only series IMO i'd like to see him survive , besides the main characters of Lee and Clem his the only one who has been able to stick around and i hope he does ,

I think that things may happen to Kenny, but he will not die. He has been around too long to die. He might leave the group or get thrown out like Lilly, but I don't think he will kill himself. It was different with other people who died, they were newcomers to the group. But Kenny has been there since the beginning. On the other hand, I have a strange feeling that everyone in the group will somehow meet their end apart from Lee and Clem. Now that Duck, Katjaa and Lilly are gone, it seems like everyone is being picked off one by one. Maybe Kenny will go next.

I don't know about the rest of you, but his dream of being on a boat somewhere on sea seems too hopeful. This series is anything but hopeful.

I don't think he'll kill himself like Kat did, but I wouldn't be surprised if he intentionally put himself in a situation that would kill him, like getting between Lee and a group of walkers before Lee gets bitten or something. I'd hate for him to actually shoot himself, but I may have sealed his fate by typing that :(

No I dont think he will. I have actually been surprised at how strong kenny has been. I mean hes not moping around that much to the extent where he is useless. I think from now on he will be a huge asset to the group and become a generally good character and a team player that lee can trust.

Maybe as a last moment in the 5th's finale. But I wouldn't expect it in the next episode.

I don't see Kenny killing himself. I do see him just sailing away on his boat by himself in an attempt to be at peace though.

I'm expecting him to go off alone/be left behind. He was really distant, as you'd expect after seeing his wife kill herself and his son dying (I let Kenny kill Duck in mine), so it'd make sense for him to go off the rails and just disappear one night or do something to cause Lee to abandon him.

Me too. I think he'll offer to check the boat out first to see if it's safe, then just start it up and sail off...

I believe Kenny will sacrifice maybe for Clem or Lee....seeing that he lost his kid and wife...he doesn't have any more hope on living but i believe he will sacrifice at least so that his death won't be in vain

I'd put my money on episode 4 to be his end. With Lilly gone, his family dead and his grieving overtones having already caught the limelight, there appears to be little extra direction to take any of the established drama that surrounds him.

I'm sure I'm not the only person to view him as the leading character behind Lee and Clem, seeing as though he's the only one that's still around from near the very start. However I don't think they'll allow him to steal any of the show by putting him at risk any point later than the start of episode 5. Nor give him a rushed send-off to downplay his death in contrast with others.

When episode 5 comes, it goes without saying that Lee and Clem (or at least just Clem) will be our main focus of concern.

Kenny either doesn't have long left or he'll be a surprise survivor.

That would actually be true to his character after the events of episode 2 and 3. His behavior and overall self-preservation tendancies would tend to make him do something like this, if only to save himself in a moment of panic. He's done this numerous times during the series so far.

I thought Kenny is a guy who wants to redeem himself. He talked about how Duck looks up to you and he believes this is his punishment. So I don't think he will kill himself but maybe he will try save someone and die.

Kenny kinda deserves a better ending after all this. But then again this is The Walking Dead, right?

I could see it happening. He got nothing left besides Lee and Clem, and even that's not saying much. The poor guy just lost the most important people in the world for him...

Maybe depending on how he feels about you, he'll either save you and die or leave you to die and save himself
  • edited August 2012
My call? He dies just as he steps on the pier going to the boat he wanted so badly.
  • edited August 2012
No I dont think thats how he'll go out. Say what you will about Kenny (selfish, racist, asshole) but hes certainly a survivor through and through.

yeah, I agree. I have a feeling that when they get to the coast, they are just going to see a huge parking lot of boats. Heck, the homeless guy (can't remember his name currently) said that it was a bad idea and that we weren't the first ones to think of it. Speaking of which, I think that the homeless guy is going to find a bunch of alcohol in that hotel Clem's parents went to and get a little too drunk. Maybe he'll let his guard down and get grabbed by a walker, or get a little too aggressive and be forced to be shot or something.

Kenny will get to the coast and see all the floaters bobbing like corks in the surf and retire upstate to a quiet farm with Noogie and Maybelle.

I just hope Lee doesn't die. Hulu announcer guy doesn't get enough work as it is.

Kenny doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would off himself

If they kill him look for my thread titled : "They killed Kenny!"
    1st post : "Those bastards!"

I'm still alive. In school most days. Taking improv and filler classes. I can't wait for the forum to calm down again so I can keep up easily and write off most threads as redundant coverage of "Is it out yet? You suck TTG!"

Which reminds me, where the hell is Milo?

I take it that he's going to commit suicide. Virtually everything he's done up to this point has been for Katjaa and Duck. Who knows what is going to happen with him now.

Either way, hes NOT going to make it to the end, and by end i mean the story's end. He may be in Ep 5, but i would be surprised if he survives everything.

He will be bitten or something at the last episode nearly the end I bet, to get a big & good send off... perhaps he give "Mercy" and not Lilly, by sacrifice himself that Lee, Christa & Clem can get into the "Marsh House". So he would think he helped 3 persons (or more 4 persons, because Christa beeing pregnant) who will get to the boat, Clem meeting her hopefully not dead mother & Katjaa/Duck would be proud of him that he sacrifice himself.
