Just curious. *EPISODE 3 SPOILER*

From the stats, a lot more people chose to help Christa first. I don't get why you would do that, because he's injured and she's fine. Ladies first syndrome? =P

I blamed myself for Omid's leg. And using him to cut the hitch. She could get on herself. I helped Omid and don't feel bad about it. I owed him.

i think that was a sexist test :)

I don´t get it either.. for me it´s clear i first help the guy, who is hurt.
Especially in a case, where the other person is this bitchy broad...

Nethertheless, you don´t get a thank you anyways... bah.

i didnt get it and helped none of them :s maybe i'm not the only one... would have helped omid :/

For me i couldn't even see the button to save omid. I just saved Christa because she was the first character where the button actually appeared.. and because she was perfectly fine where as the other guy looked like he would die anyway.

The only reason I chose Christa because somehow I couldn't see Omid.
He ran off quickly to the right side of the screen to the point where I could only see Christa.

That is without a doubt the reason most people choose Christa.

I helped her first cause Omid passed running my screen and couldn't see him, trying to make my actions fast I choose Christa :/

I helped Omid because it would be awful not to help the mentally handicapped first.

I didn't like Omid and I got the cursor over Christa first sooo :P

Could have easily been a callous test - your dialogues before make it clear that Christa's the survivor out of those two, and Omid's injured. Me still being too soft for a zombie apocalypse decided that meant he needed the help more, but it would be very easy to decide he was beyond help.

I did feel a pang of regret when Christa dropped behind - at that point I thought it had been another binary choice and I'd been stupid to assume Christa could help herself.

Add me to it. I just replayed to check - there are arrows on the sides of the screen like with previous "this or that person" choices, but I didn't see them in my first playthrough.

What's worse though: Omid runs across the screen like Usain Bolt. Must be a bad wound he has there...

I chose Omid but only cus he was injured.......and I pushed him. Otherwise, I can understand the whole getting yelled at either way. I think its obvious they care about each other and simply want whats best for the other. So I can see it being a "lose lose" no matter who you pick, unlike the "lose lose" with Glen in the beginning.

No, for me it was on accident. I meant to help Omid first.

Same as many of the others, just picked Christa since she appeared.
Didn't even knew it was "a choice", didn't even see Omid.
  • edited September 2012
I presume if you don't choose either of them and it times out they both make it on and no one bitches at you? Will have to check.

I grabbed Omid because he was injured.... and I felt bad... for... you know... helping him... ahem.. get injured.

After helping Omid I found myself asking if it made sense to help someone who would be a hindrance given his condition? And of course, in looking at the previews of the next episode---I was right.

It would've been cool to see the impact of NOT helping Omid by having him getting eaten by the zombies and feeling the impact from Christa next episode.

I think you just won. I don't know what, but you did.

Two reasons here. First: Like a lot of you said before, at first I only saw her. Second: He was "in front of her" (in driving direction) so I planned to help her up, then help omid when the train reaches him. Had nothing to do with preference for a character.

I don't really like the mechanics of the choice. Omid is hobbled, but he's further ahead of Christa. The choice starts with Christa selected, heavily weighting statistics in her favor. Usually, choices start with Lee in the middle and you have to look to the direction of who you save. Why was this choice handled so differently?

I saw Christa first so i just picked her because i didnt see omid so i paniced i guess :D

TellTale's not very good at going neutral xD
  • edited September 2012
I just kept mashing the A button haha. I didn't mean to grab Omid first
  • edited September 2012
Honestly? I saw the picture for Episode 4 with Kenny, Lee, and Christa standing in a sewer or something looking up, so I saved her. Yes, that is literally the extent of my reasoning.
  • edited September 2012
I took one look at Christa as was like 'wtf didnt you ditch us in the RV a ways back?'
I grabbed Omid but they would let me close the door on Christa, and to her credit she's got some stamina - it seemed I was staring at her for a good quarter of a mile before she helped herself onto the car
  • edited September 2012
Wow, looks like Telltale seriously screwed that decision over, seeing as most who choose christa wasn't out of a whole-minded decision. sounds like Omid would've got way more saves if it was a more clear choice.
  • edited September 2012
same as many others, Christa appeared first, Omid zoomed past the door as if he was perfectly fine. If it was clearer that he was seriously injured and didn't simply twist an ankle and if they'd both been on-screen I might have grabbed Omid. But seriously, grab whomever is first up.

I suppose that was just a fake-out, to appear to mirror a Carley/Doug situation when it wasn't exactly like that.

I saved Christa. By this point in the series, I expect anyone who is injured to become a liability and die, so saving Omid makes no sense.

I feel bad that Omid and Christa helped the group. They were surviving fine on their own and should have stuck to the "us 2 only" philosophy that had kept them alive. Now one, if not both, are going to die.

I felt like a jerk dangling Omid over the edge to cut through the tanker. I wanted to tell him thanks for everything but he should move on, because the train wasn't his problem and it was endangering his survival.

To me, Omid was the first on the screen. I think I was have been following the screen with the mouse, so when it all happened I probably went to the right immediately. And yeah, that moment didn't actually feel like a choice, I just picked Omid first because that's where the mouse was, I didn't even think before clicking, which is why I yelled at him first, before choosing the option to help him up :D

helped omid first cause he was injured, even though he yelled at me for not helping christa.

That is not true, woman in most choices have been favored ferociously, the only one they weren't was the part of episode 2 where you distribute food.
