Hey thanks for everyone for helping me remember. I found a copy of darkseed and cannot get it to work. anyone want to help me find a way to get it running on an xp system.

    yes I did as a matter of fact but it doesn't really run on the scumm engine.

    It's a dos game, I presume? VDMSound has never failed me. You'll want to get the VDMS Launchpad with that as well, download the 1011 zip from here. (Launchpad = shell integration, and should've come with the main installer IMO)
    Alternatively you could look for DosBox which I don't have any personal experience with but which is supposedly very good.

    You realize the latest version of vdmsounds is 2.1.0 not 2.0.4 and it does come with the launcher, also its not working, dosbox neither I think the thing I have is a cracked cd version and neither program likes it so i got the floppy, but i would have voices.

    oh hey I found a floppy version works fine and has voices so. dosbox works I will try vdm and tell you which is better

    I stand corrected. Thanks for catching that; I vaguely recall stumbling on that thread years ago, but since I was still using NT4 back then I skipped and subsequently forgot about it.
